Character BREAKFAST?

Do they have Character Breakfast on the Wonder? :lovestruc

Hi,

Like AngelDisney said, they have them on the 7 night or longer cruises. The breakfast is in Parrot Cay on a specific morning. That specific morning for the character breakfast will be stated on your dinning ticket in your stateroom. The morning of your character breakfast, you will sit at the same table you have diner in Parrot Cay. Your wait staff will also serve you that morning. Hope you have a great cruise!!!

They have it on the Alaska cruises! They are usually on 7 and more night cruises with at least two sea days and a late port days or 3 sea days I believe.
Pretty much.

In the past the character breakfast was only on the classic ships (Magic & Wonder) on cruises of 7 nights and longer with at least 3 sea days, or 2 sea days and a late port arrival day. Everyone was assigned a specific day and time for their breakfast based on their dinner rotation. Generally most people would have their character breakfast on the first sea day following their first dinner in Animator's Palate. The characters in attendance would visit each table during the breakfast for photo ops. Usually they were Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale.

The Wonder is still doing the breakfast this way, with the breakfast on the 2 sea days and, I believe, Ketchikan day.

The Magic has changed their breakfast so that now it's a (free)ticketed event and you pick up the tickets at Guest Services. This way they can control how many people are there. The old method a lot of people weren't actually attending and there were many empty seats. And the characters are the Disney Jr. characters.

Yes- I can confirm no character breakfast on my European cruise- and we had 2 sea days and one late port arrival.

No character breakfast, ticketed or otherwise, on our 7 night Norway cruise.

We'll be on the 10day Hawaiian.. so there will be 5 sea days... Should be one then....:yay:

Disney Jr characters on Magic??? That's odd. I dont have kids so I dont know those characters at all. Why not stay with the classics?

Thanks for the info though. Didn't know it was not a free ticketed event either.

IMO, I think they were trying to get more families with younger children interested in participating in the breakfast. Attendance and the "traditional" event has been declining for a while.

It is a free ticketed event on the Magic (when she has had it recently).

oops. you are right. i meant to say did not know it wasnt automatic anymore and you had to go to GS. Thank you, good info to have!

The last CB we did was on The Magic in 2012, I felt it was very rushed and not that great. Our grandkids enjoyed it of course.
On our Alaska cruise in 2013 we skipped it.

On the EBTA Magic this year, it was ticketed, but it was the Fab five, not Disney Jr characters

I guess you never know who will show up! LOL

I don't have kids and I enjoyed it! It wasn't a long drawn out procedure but I didn't feel rushed either. It was cute and fun

Out of all our cruises we've only attended the CB once, on the WBPC. The characters were so super rushed moving table to table super fast. No Shutters photogs. It all happened so fast when the characters came. I'm not sure I'd do it again. We get better character visits & photos at character meets.

I'm hoping there will be a character breakfast assigned according to our dining rotation on the May 2016 Alaskan cruise. Standing in line to get a ticket is not appealing to me. Which is another reason I'm so glad I don't have a girl! No princess meets, teas, Anna this, Elsa that for me! Lol Give us Mickey and his pals and we're good. :)

The assigned character breakfast will also be a welcomed break for us not having to stand in line to take a picture with Mickey.

Did you feel rushed because it was the early CB or does it matter whether it's the early or late breakfast regarding feeling rushed?
