Character Breakfast Transportation Information

As I am no longer wearing purple pants, this information is not confirmed, and unofficial...

However, I got the word today that the early breakfast buses have been discontinued due to low ridership. (Most likely caused because Dining insisted they didn't exist, and no know knew about them)

Because of where I work now, I don't have any information on when the Magic Kingdom bus will start up now. However, I was able to find out that the first AK bus will be around 7:30-7:45, give or take.

Like I said, I no longer wear the purple pants, so this information is not official, and I do not know anything further at this point in time.

I know you'll post additional information when it becomes available, but now I have a question about an 8:05 ps for CRT. If we take a taxi, will it drop us off at MK where the bus would have? I'll do that if I have to, but I want to know where I'll be dropped for MK. Or, will they only let them go to the TTC?

Taxis can drop you off at the TTC. Then you can take the resort monorail to the MK. Or, you can have the taxi drop you off at the Contemporary, and you can walk to the MK.

Thanks Tyler! That's what I'll do...I'll take a Taxi to the Contemporary as there is no way I can move CRT. Might consider CP, but still want to eat before the park opens.

so from WL to Crystal Palace get on the boat from WL to Contemp and then hop on the monorail - will this get us to an 805ps? or should we plan on walking to MK from Contemp?

also Donald's 8am - Do I need to change this PS time? again coming from WL

I am wondering if we should cancel. WE have an early Donalds and I know we can not drive to AK and get in on time. We are also coming from the WL.
Will I have any trouble getting to Kona Cafe for an 8:00am PS.

EMH transportation will be as usual... one hour prior to park opening.

I think over on the dining board Tyler suggested taking a cab to the Contemporary for CRT and then walking over.

Thanks Tyler for the info but this is certainly not good news. We have an 8:05 PS for both Crystal Palace and Donald's Breakfastosaurus during our trip and now I'll be a nervous wreck wondering if we will get to the restaurants on time.

Two questions I can answer.....from the Contemporary to the MK entrance I would guess is a 10 minute walk tops.
For the question about taking a taxi to an early Donald's, I don't think that will work. We tried this two years ago (told by front desk there is no early bus!!!) and we go stuck behind a line of cars. The taxi driver told us he had a similar problem recently and had to let his passengers out so they could take the bus through the gate. We waited quite a while but were lucky because the CM at the gate relented and let the cars in early. I continue to read that the AK gates do not open until around 8am so you will not make an early ps for Donald's.

I am so glad to know this information ahead of time, but like many others with plans in place I find this all rather stressful. I have an 8:05 am PS/ADR for CRT our first full day at WDW. This is also our dd's 5th birthday, so I would really like for this special morning to go smoothly...thought I had taken care of all the little details. We are staying at CBR and have been on the fence about renting a car or relying on Disney transportion and now this really confuses me! As I understand the situation, even if we go to the expense of renting a car, we could end up having to also take a taxi this morning to make it to CRT? That means the CRT and CP early breakfasts would only be accessible to those in MK resorts? Seems if the early breakfast bus transportation is canceled, the least Disney could do is open the parking lots to allow those with an early PS into the parks. Wonder how CR, Poly, or GF would hanlde it if we tried to park there for the early breakfast??? I know this is normally not allowed, but I wonder if they will flex in this area now with this change?

Queen Be: have your front desk arrange a cab for you from your resort to the Contemporary, and walk over from there. Ask the night before. It will only be $15 or so, and give you the peace of mind you need.

Queen Be - you should be fine if you choose to rent a car and drive to CRT...the TTC (parking lot for MK) usually opens at 7am (2h before park opening) and the CMs will let you on the resort monorail to make it to your PS (make sure you bring the number). Otherwise, a taxi will get you to the TTC easily and for a reasonable amount...plus, who knows, the bussing thing may work out after all.

Okay...deep breaths, feeling more relaxed already Now on to decide which will be the least stressful...driving ourselves around Disney property or riding buses from CBR!
