My wife and I will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary at Walt Disney World. We would like to enjoy a character breakfast on our last morning there. Which one would you suggest? :)

I'd strongly recommend the Crystal Palace. :thumbsup2 This is my favorite place to dine and is a must on each trip. The food & service is great. This is where I'm planning on dining on my last day at WDW.

You might want to ask this question over on the adults and solo board too. :)

DH and I did the character breakfast at 1900 Park Faire year before last. The food was excellent - so much choicce - and it was great to meet Mary Poppins :)

I would recommend Cape May Cafe. I felt the food was VERY good and fresh. The fruit alone was phenomenal (sp?). There are characters, but it seems much more "refined" than other character meals.

My DH & I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary at the World in September and we're planning breakfast at Crystal Palace. Wishing you a happy anniversary and a wonderful trip!

I'd second the votes for both Crystal Palace and Cape May. As a grownup, I loved the food and atmosphere at both. Both are more laid-back than twirling your napkin at Chef Mickey (which I enjoy with DD) and have excellent food. Cape May has the advantage of not burning a day of park tickets......

My best friend and I had a really fun time at the Crytal Palace breakfast. The food was good and the characters were really good about spending time with us even though we were adults.

Thanks everyone for all of your suggestions. It looks like we're going to visit Cape May. It will give us an opportunity to see the holiday decorations at the Epcot resorts, plus Cape May is one of the few restaurants that we have never visited. I appreciate all of your help. We'll be sure and save Crystal Palace for our next vacation. Thanks again. :)

This one has a different slant. My husband and I just tried Donald Ducks character breakfast in Animal Kingdom. We really enjoyed it. It does have kind of a rustic slant to it which was fun. When the characters came around, they stopped at every table and made sure everyone had enough pictures. The waitress took pictures of us with the characters. We had so much fun. There was a man with a broom and dust pan that would go up to people and tap their foot with the broom, and by the time they looked down he was nowhere in sight. It was so much fun watching him! And the french toast was out of this world.

In our opinion, the best food choice for breakfast is 1900 Park Faire. It was one of our favorite meals last trip. Although it's a buffet, everything just seemed more freshly prepared. And it seemed like there were more food choices.

For atmosphere, the Crystal Palace is so beautiful. Then again, if you choose PF, you have the whole Grand Floridian atmosphere.

ITA :thumbsup2 I think of all the character meals (and I think we have done them all except the princesses...lol) this one is the most "adult oriented." The food is very good!!

Thank you. You've reinforced our decision. :thumbsup2

DH and I LOVE Crystal Palace and for now, it is just the two of us and we always have a wonderful time there! :cheer2:
