both of those are great. Ohana has Mickey, Goofy, Stitch, Lilo (and maybe a few others) and Chef Mickeys has Mickey, Goofy, Minnie and Pluto. There really are not any that are boy specific, like the Princess ones for girls. I'd LOVE to see one with Bullseye, Woody. Buzz & Jessie though
My boys are the same age. They enjoyed breakfast at Cap May with Goofy (DS5's favourite) but it was a brief meeting.
We also did lunch at Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh characters (mainly for me), maybe it was the time (2.00) but we found the characters had more time for us and the food was great.
At eight and five - it isn't a character meal, but her boys might like the Sci Fi Drive in a lot. Monster movie clips from the 1950s and you eat in a car.
There was a rumor/hope going on here a while back that Hollywood and Vine was going to have a character breakfast which the did end up doing. The rumor/hope was that is was going to be a Pixar based character meal, Mosters Inc, Incredible's, Toy Story. In the end it came out as Playhouse Disney (JoJo, Goliath, Little Einsteins (sp) and maybe a few others).
I would have LOVED if it would have been a Pixar one. My kids would love that (not to mention so would I). Not so much the Playhouse Disney. We most likely wont do that character meal.
My sons are 6 and 8 and their favorite character breakfast is O'hana with Stitch. The characters there are fun and interact with the guests. The food was served family style so we didn't have to go through a buffet line. During the meal they have a parade where the kids dance around the room with the characters.
We love Chef Mickey's for a character dinner. We always eat there on our first night.
Last year, we did breakfast at the castle (for DD8) and breakfast at Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. DS (then 10) tolerated the Princess breakfast, but he really enjoyed the other two. He even requested a repeat visit to Chef Mickey's on this year's trip.
My son hasn't been to a character meal is doesn't like!
This past year he requested to go back to the Castle again but we could not get in.
He loves breakfast and supper at 1900 Park Fare.
If I had to guess his favorite he would probably say Chef Mickey's or Liberty Tree Tavern.
We did Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's on our recent trip. Two of my three boys were just about those same ages and they loved both. Food was good (and fun!) at both, but for me personally, I found there was more character interaction at Crystal Palace.
I have 3 boys age 7,5 and soon to be 2 (5 more days) We have eaten at Donald's Breakfastasauras in AK (my oldest DS fav) Chef Mickey's, Ohanas for the Stitch breakfast, Goofy's Beach Breakfast and Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends. They have been there 4 times and each trip they have asked to eat at Donald's Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace, which of course we let them since it is such a great way to meet and interact with the characters without waiting in a long line.
Ohana's was definitely our favorite character meal. Our DS6 and DS4 loved this meal. Stitch was a riot and so funny! The parade was fun for them. This was the highlight of our trip!! We will definitely be returning!
