How is the breakfast at 'Ohana? Anyone try it recently?

We were there in October and I wasn't thrilled. I'd been a huge Ohanas fan, but we'd always made first available PSs and hit the parks afterwards. We were traveling with my MIL - who is not an early riser, so did the last available PS. We waited 40 minutes after our PS to get seated, and the characters left 20 minutes after we sat down. Mickey was out front and didn't roam the room (if I wanted to stand in line to see Mickey, I wouldn't book a character breakfast).

The food was as good as always and our server attentive. But no more late breakfasts for me! I'm not sure what happened that they were running so far behind.

crisi - I'm thinking of doing a 7:30 PS, then heading to Blizzard Beach from the Poly. When you have gone early, was Mickey "working the room"? I am thinking of doing this so that DD can see Mickey (she's 11! LOL! but needs her Mickey fix). I wouldn't mind waiting in the lobby to see him, if the line was short. If he is in the lobby, is there a photographer there taking pictures?

But glad to hear the food is good. We'll need to feul up for BB!!!!

When we've done this earlier he was working the room, but that was quite a while ago. When I've checked these threads, it doesn't seem that he is often in front of the restaurant, he usually works the room - so I suspect he was pulled out front to try and speed things along. There was a photographer taking pictures - but not by/with Mickey.
