character breakfast at DLH.

Hi I am just wondering what exactly is the character breakfast, Are the characters in the breakfast for example like a character meal or do they just greet you out side, I am slightly confused about this.

I got my booking confirmation today took along time to come however great to see it in writing.

well anyway on it its says "Breakfast characters welcome at the entrance of the restaurants" which makes me think they are just out side.

When I booked though i was led to believe that is was a character breakfast, and also that the brochure we booked from did not give us the option of booking a character breakfast at cafe mickey or in the park.

it doesn't really matter if it is not a full character breakfast however I don't want to give dd false information and disappoint her.

The characters are just outside! The greet you! And if you want to have a picture with one of them you have to get in line! (Just like in the parks!)
If you have an early breakfast you don't have to queue long, but after 8:30am you have to wait a little bit!
And you should keep in mind that the characters chance after 10 Minutes or so. So sometimes you don't get the character you saw when you started queuing!

It's not like a proper character meal where they come round to all the tables in turn - they generally don't come into the restaurant at all. They are in the lobby area outside just hanging around. If you go to breakfast at a quieter time, you get plenty of quality time with them. We really enjoyed the fact that you could just bump into them, and I think your dd will enjoy it. It was usually Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale, Goofy & Pluto - not all at the same time though.

If you want you can still book a character brekkie in Cafe Mickeys or inside the park - we ate at Walt's but I think it's now in Plaza Gardens - and you pay a bit less because you've already paid for your hotel breakfast. IMO though this is quite an expensive way to do it cos you don't pay much less, and the DLH breakfast is lovely. Better to have an evening character meal so you get t he best of both worlds. Just my opinion though!

hi, thank you for clarifying it for me. I don't mind that its not a character breakfast I was just not sure what it meant..we will try to get down early for dd.
Is it different than the photo location that they have in the other hotels in the morning?

I pressume so or they would not put it down as an extra perk for staying at the DLH.

It's different in that there are more of them around the place rather than just one character in the photo location. The photo location is also there with the official photographer, but the other characters have no official photographer.
