Hey

Can anyone possibly give me feedback on this? I am considering this for my next trip. Is it good? Which characters are usually there? Do you need to book well in advance for this? I was also wondering when it took place - do you get in for this before the park officially opens - I do want to do it but I don't want to waste valuable early morning park time!

Any advice/comments would be welcomed.

Thanks

Nick

I’m assuming you mean Donald’s Breakfastaurus. We have done this twice and really enjoyed it. It is a hot and cold buffet with delicious bagels and, so I’m told, doughnuts! The characters are Donald, Goofy and Mickey and I think last time Minnie was also there. In 2001 we had a PS for 8:00 and in 2004 we had a much later PS at 9:45. Personally I found the later PS much better as it seemed much less rushed.

Hope this helps

We did this in Dec & it was the best b/fast we had. We opted for a late b/fast (0930) as it was EE & we were on site. Characters were Donald, Pluto, Goofy & Mickey. When we were seated, our server told us what time the characters would be coming into our section & they arrived bang on time. Interaction was great, food was good & all you could eat, both hot & cold, incl. cereal, pastries, fruit, yoghurt etc. We did not need to eat until dinner time! The people on the table opposite were getting breakfast when one of the characters was out & the server noticed this & as soon as they returned took them off to meet them. It was well organised & definitely VFM & one our list to do again in 2006! I would make a PS especially as it is really the only breakfast place in AK other than RFC at the entrance.

We did this in December 2003 and loved it, the food was wonderful the characters were great, they were all dressed up christmassy!! I would definitely recommend this.

We didn't actually book this before we went, we were really lucky and got a reservation about 2 days before!

Celestine, another Reading girl!! Hello! :wave2:

Kell-Bell I'm Reading by marriage - well & truly a Londoner by birth...but I think my heart belongs in WDW!!!!

We have booked in april, have not done it before. From the fedback here it sounds good

This was our first character breakfast and we loved it. We had such a mad rush to get there as i had a res and we had over slept i forgot my free breakfast vouchers.
The food was worth every penny spent on it especially the Krispy Kreme do nuts I dont like do nuts but these are lovely.
I felt a bit hurried by the waiters so i may choose not to do that breakfast again on that reason as i felt we would have enjoyed it so much more if we hadn't been rushed. Donald, chip&dale, pluto and micky were there, and this was the childrens first experience of the characters and thay really enjoyed the whole experience.

I hope that helps Marv

Another thumps up for this - we always do it on our first morning :)

If you book a PS for 8am when the park doesn't open until 9am you can then have your breakfast without missing anything!

I agree, apart from meeting Donald at this breakfast, the only time we saw him was in a parade or the show in front of the castle. My middle DD started to get upset that we hadn't met Daisy, then on our very last day she was signing autographs at the entrance to MK! :goodvibes

Well we must have been on a bad day in June 2002, because we didn't rate it at all. Buffet breakfast and the time were fine (10.15) - we even managed to do the River Rapids twice before we got there! However, the characters (Pluto, Goofy, Mickey from what I can remember - it was that memorable) had very little time for us, and we felt rushed into getting in and out. It was our first and only venture into Character Dining and it was such a disappointment we weren't planning ever to do one again. Are we missing something?

Hiya :wave2:

Just booked this for 8am Sat 30th July 2005 (Am telling everyone 'cos I am so chuffed!)

And will be more than happy to review it when I return - Although it would have to be very very very bad for me not to be 100% happy with my first ever PS!
