Character Bkfasts-how many are too many?

I love the character meals because you have to eat and the kids get to see the characters. It saves waiting in line at the parks. Especially if it is a must see character.

I ended up not having any character breakfasts anymore. We once had 4 breakfast PSs for one 12 day trip. We were so tired of getting up and rushing to eat that I ended up canceling the the last one. I did make one for this upcoming trip but just canceled it also. We are not morning people and prefer to eat at our leisure in the am. We also do not rush off to the parks either. Usually we hang at the pool every day for a few hours before heading out. I make sure we have a PS for a sit down dinner every night though and that is either a character meal or at a nice restaurant. We love the character dinners but not the breakfasts. I would at least do a couple of dinners and not all breakfasts.

Depends on your family habits...if I start DH out at a sit down restaurant...all meals become sit down meals for the day cause DH gets out of commando mode and into leisure mode...very expensive and we end up gaining alot of weight during the vacation. However we normally visit in value season so it is fairly easy to walk up to a hostess stand and be seated quickly without PS...in busy season it's a lot harder to pull off something like that. I would try to get a PS for a lunch and drop one of the breakfasts....remember you can always cancel a PS if they become too much of a hassle, if you had to make a deposit on any of the PS's make sure you cancel in the time frame alotted..but that is usually only for the very busy holiday seatings.

Just had to add my opinion to this My "kids" will be 17 , 20 and 22 when we go in November and we are doing a the Crystal palace so we can see Pooh and his friends. we are doing the hoop de doo review and probably at least one more. both of these are traditional and we usually do either lunch or dinner at the Garden Grill so we can see Mickey. I dont think you ever get too old for these and my 50 year old husband is as excited as the rest of us. so my opinion if I could afford it we would do one a day of breakfast, lunch or dinner.::MickeyMo

It depends on how your family eats. I also do more character breakfasts than anything else. We like to eat big breakfast and then we are full most of the day at the parks. It is good to also see which characters are at the meals so you don't overdo some characters.

We enjoy the character meals - usually do one every day or two. We prefer late lunch or early dinner. In the afternoon it's hot (in the summer anyhow) and everyone's getting tired. We enjoy sitting in an air-conditioned room, re-hydrating on water/cokes and relaxing w/ a good meal & enjoying the characters. After an hour or so in there we're ready to tackle/explore the parks some more. (My dh & I figured we got our moneys worth just on the endless diet cokes! lol)
