Character Appearances ?

Do you find that the characters are out as much in off-season? (specifically January)

I know there will still be some characters but will there be as many as in peak seasons?

The charecters are out on a pretty regular schedule in peak and non peak seasons now. Some additional charecters are added in super busy times to help with crowd control but it's not any super rare charecters or alot more than normal. A great time to see extra charecters is during training times at WDW, but those vary a bit but happen more in off season than peak. Some good spots to check for extra charecters are Good Times Gathering Spot in AK and the International Gateway and Millinium Center (next to American Adventure, I think that's what it is called) in Epcot.

We were there the first week of February and filled THREE autograph books- the lines were minimal and there were tons of characters out

I have 4 daughters and we are working and organizing what we want to make each of them an autograph book. They have developed quite a list of characters they want to see based off of who all is available on some of the lists that folks have on their blogs of who has been seen lately. I just wanted to be sure they weren't building themselves up to a let down.

Characters operate on pretty much the same schedule year round.

I know that me and my brother met Stitch in Tomorrowland along with Buzz, and Princess Belle sometimes appears in France in WS in Epcot so they can be just about anywhere! Plus they might still have those Meet and Greet booths, but I'm not sure since they got rid of Toon Town. I think you can just find them anywhere, and they even have this app for your phone called Mobile Magic that can find characters for you if they're anywhere within the park!
