I need help!- I am considering cancelling our ressies for Mickey BBQ and saving our dining credits.

I have read over tons of reviews about Mickey's BBQ...
The place seats 600 people? and the show is offered on Sat. which is probably really busy night!
I found back in 2001-2002 many say the chaos was crazy...and so may even now say seating is tight and miserable...obviously this seating is fcfs.

I need help from those who have gone recently...has seating improved?
Really seating 600 people?
And has the character experience gotten resolved for safety?
Dancing really does happen huh?
It sounds for some that the crowd of freaking out childen makes impossible to enjoy dancing for the kids...

Please tell me your honest thoughts- I am so new at this!

We went last July. I guess it could seat 600, and there were a ton of people there, but 600?? I don't think so. There was a lot of dancing, but parent's were really good about moving their kids along after having a quick turn or picture with one of the characters. Minnie and Goofy actually walked around to all the tables for pictures too so that helped the crowd control. The only time it felt a little crazy was when it ended and everyone was leaving at the same time. Hope this helps.

thanks...that is helpful.
Maybe you can answer me this-
Does a CM help characters on the dance floor?
And do they stand in a line to get a turn to dance?
Do all the kids who want to dance get a chance?
And where did you sit? good or bad?
Did you all have fun?
WHat day did you go on?
Thanks for your help! :)
