#Changingallourplans

Look at this one

look at that baby bump. I wonder if that means i'm about to write about my girls 5th trip. :rotfl: I can't believe that my girls are going to be 9 in less than a month.

After trip #3, DH and I bought AKV points and we had AP. DH had his conference in florida again. This time it was in Ft Lauderdale, not to far from FIL. We decide to all go again, see FIL and T. Then I realize that a good friend of mine that I know from a twin message board is going to be in WDW with her husband, and it is october, so the halloween party is going on. So after the conference is over, we got to WDW for the halloween party. We bought the girls AP. We stay at POFQ. I made plans to meet Jenn at MK. I'm thinking it has to be close to 4 o'clock at this point, but it could be earilier. The girls want to go swimming, so DH stays with them and off i go to met someone. I'm the only person on the bus to MK.

We met them the next day as well. DD2 some how got us so pixie dust so we got to met Mickey and Minnie with no wait

I'm in! I love all the pics of the girls as tiny little cuties! the curly blond heads are too sweet! they're still adorable! and so lucky to have been to Disney so many times! yay!

I think you're ADRs look good! I hope rose and crown works out for you. we were going to do that on our last trip, then decided against it. I wished we would have stayed--the park wasn't too crowded and if we had gotten tables where you could see the fireworks, we could have stayed to watch even though the girls fell asleep. oh well, another time. what is the sparkling dessert at epcot? I don't think I've heard of that before.

so is it still 4 resorts? that sounds kind of fun though, to get to see all the resorts and try them out.

Welcome:banana:

You will have to stick around to see how many resorts we end up with. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I hope you are enjoying reading about my trips past.
Trip #5 we had a great plan, going to use our AP and stay at the Poly. We booked flights. We flew on delta using Continental points ( or DD1 and I did while DH and DD2 had to pay for their tickets).
Then we got the postcard in the mail from Frank Perez our DVC guide, so we bought DVC, used our developer points for this trip. We had a little issue getting what we wanted at SSR. We wound up in a studio for the first night, a 1 bedroom for the bulk of the trip, followed by a studio for the last night.

I don't remember if it my best friend was planning on being in WDW for her son's 2nd birthday or played a small trip there because we were going to be there. But they joined us for the first few nights ( at the time they were SSR DVC owners- i think they have since sold their points but they live in southern FL), then FIL and T joined us.
Since we had AP we went to liberty tree tavern for dinner right after we got to WDW

Either that night or the next night we went to epcot, and while walking towards the exit at the end of illuminuations realized that DD had lost her pink sweatshirt. Reported it to guest relations. We wound up having to go to lost and found later in the trip to get it back after a few phone calls.

Looking through pictures looks like we walked through epcot ( got to love having AP) before meeting friends at the garden grove for her son's 2nd birthday meal;.

Next morning we went to AK

BF met us. 3 kids have fun with the goats

No clue what else happened that day. I know we ate dinner. No clue if alone or with BF.
Next working my family, and BF and her son joined us for breakfast at ohana. We met them there.
I love this picture of DD on our way to ohana

We went to MK, FIL and T joined us. BF left that day ( i think). We went with FIL and T to Garden Grill for dinner. I really don't remember much about that meal expect that it did not rotate. And we had great character interactions

This was a trip that DD1 was sick. First night in the one bedroom, DD1threw up all over the bed. Called mousekeeping and they brought new sheets and told us to put the dirty ones in the hallway.
FIL was staying at SSR in a studio. He had DVC link the reservations so we were in the same building. This became an issue on the last night when we switched to a studio. It was just us, and they wanted to keep us in Paddock section. DD1 was not feeling great, and I was like just get us in a room any where. We got a old studio in grandstand.
But i'm getting ahead of myself. We did a meal at coral reel. I had a diver come with a happy anniversary sign for DH. When i saw the divers in the aquarium, i realized I did not have my camera. I had left it outside on the stroller.

We went to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast the next morning. I had an internet friend who was going the same time, so we made plans to meet at breakfast.

The picture under my name was taken this day.

what is the sparkling dessert at epcot? I don't think I've heard of that before.
.

I totally forgot to answer about the sparkling dessert party. It is new. There is a roped off area in epcot to see illuminutations. I think it was $55 an adult and $29 a child. You get unlimited sparkling wine, and some desserts. cronuts, mickey ice cream, shortbread cookies, an a few limited others. There are tables, but no seats for the desset. Kicker was had to get around 7:45 for the 9 o'clock illuminutations. Decided if we were going to wait that long we could get better desserts and drinks for less money somewhere else.

So back to this pre-trip plannning. Staying the week at BWV. After thinking and planning what we might want to eat, decide TIW makes more sense than the DDP
How nice staying in one resport the whole time.

But remember that waitlist for VGF? Well you will never guess!

I get an imessage from DH that says
Wait list came through.
#CHANGINGALLOURPLANS

Realize that most of the ADR for MK area are the beginning of the trip, and we are staying at GF at the end of the trip.

New ADRS:
Day 1: flight landing at 8:33. ME to BWV then off to MK
lunch at 12:55 at liberty tree tavern
depending on how day is going, either back to resort or head to epcot for
Dinner at 7:55 at Garden grill
figure this will be day 1 of MK FP+
Day 2: Breakfast at Kouzzinna at 8:00 before heading to Typhoon Lagoon.
Dinner at Beirgarten - we had it for 7:30, then pushed it to 8:00
Day 3 Breakfast at 8:30 Fresh Mediterranean Market in Dolphin hotel
Hollywood Studios
50's prime time Cafe for dinner at 5:15
Day 4 only ADR this day is 7pm Akershus Royal Banquet hall. We have done breakfast. DH and I did either lunch or dinner on one of our trips pre-kids, but is was pre princesses. I remember eating smoked salmon.
We are planning on going to Animal Kingdom this day
Day 5 This is the day we check out of BWV and switch to VGF
Breakfast at crystal palace at 8:10
dinner at trails end
Day 6 Breakfast 8:05 Chef Mickey's

Day 7 breakfast at 8 at 1900 park fare

But wait if we are staying in the grand floridian and the garden view tea room is fresh from a renovation, we should go for afternoon tea.

Lets drop the dinner at trails end and book Afternoon tea for 3:40.

I'm sure we are not done with all the changes. :rotfl:

i'm glad your waitlist come through! that's exciting!

ooooo--afternoon tea! I keep thinking I should do that with our girls sometime, but the price scares me!

I love the afternoon tea. That is one thing I did not check the price of. We have goon either 2 or 3 times.

I think Annie the zebra has been to disney for almost all of our trips. I have to see if I got a picture of her on the last trip, since she is no longer that white.

Since we have an AP, I keep on looking at what FP+ are available. I realized that certain FP+ are not available on the app but are available on the website. I'm hoping they fix that before FP+ are available for the mine train

changed day 4. Switched Crystal Palace to the last day. Figure we have AP can go for breakfast in the park at 9:10 and have plenty of time to be back at the resort for ME.

Now i have to make our game plan for FP+. I'm waiting to hear what happens with them adding in a 4th FP+ after you use up the first 3.

Wow!!! I've fallen so far behind!!! I am so sorry.

I loved seeing all of the glimpses of your past trips. The girls were so little and just adorable!

As for photo hosting sites, well - I ended up biting the bullet and becoming a Photobucket paid subscriber... After creating a few different email addresses so I could use my storage, my bandwidth was exceeded a few weeks into every month, so I just paid for it. Speaking of which - I think I am coming due soon? I like photobucket because it's so easy, and I can easily upload from my phone too - so that really helps when I am mobile. I wish I could help you out better.

I am so jealous that you are a DVC owner - I dream of owning DVC some day... I just find it so hard to justify, since DH will never go - so it would be a completely frivilous purchase for myself, and I just cannot bit the bullet. I've decided to put it on hold until the girls are out of college (and I am rich... Haahaha).

So happy that your waitlist came through! Alli really wanted to stay at GF this trip - as of now that's not happening... Maybe if we do her graduation/spring break trip, we can stay there? It is beautiful.

Love seeing all of your ADRs, you have some great ones!

D~

When DH did his live dining report, we had to pay for photobucket. But he used his not mine. I really should see which pictures I stored on his. I find photobucket much easier to use than flickr

Not for this trip but for a for her graduation/spring break trip, you should look into renting DVC points. It is a great way to experience the dvc resorts at a cheaper cost. Just have a huge trust factor, plus have to pay in advance.

----------------------
I'm horrible about updating about the trip. It is almost time to start thinking about FP+. Trying to decide if the best strategy is to do morning ones, or afternoon ones? I can't see waiting on line for a kiosk to add extra fp+.
We asked the girls is they wanted to do the halloween party. Got one no, one yes but then she asked what did she just say yes to. :hyper: So i'm pretty sure we are going to be skipping that.
DH came home from work with the hours of WDW when we are going to be there. Guess he is ready to plan something other than food. I started a spreadsheet to keep track of our projected meals/ water park tickets vs gift cards we have purchased. Buying them at target and Bj's to save a little.

Now to figure out the rest of the summer before our trip. Girls go to a local day camp that they love, but this year they wanted to go to soccer camp. A local college has week long camps all summer. We planned on sending the girls for a week of soccer camp . Best part is after we decided this, I won a free week to the camp. So only have to pay for one girl to go.
Figured girls would have a week off between school and camp. week of soccer camp, then 6 weeks of day camp. Day camp does 2 camp plays that they hold at night. One is the 4th week of camp, one is the 8th week of camp. Realized that the play is the same night that DH and I have concert tickets ( and the same night that the girl's girl scout troop has an outing to a local minor league baseball game)

All your ADRs look great. And the thought of all that yummy Disney food is making me hungry!

Oh fastpasses.....I thought they were hard to plan last time we went, now I'm even more stressed out about them. Mostly I just really want to get one for Anna and Elsa, but then they throw out the get one more thing. Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

We are probably going to cancel about 1/2 of the ADRs, but I can't wait for disney food.

-------
DH added a tab to our dining spreadsheet comparing DDP and TIW. I think we decided DDP will not work for us. We don't need lunch dessert with every QS.

FIL was in NY since my BIL just had a baby last weekend. Girls invited him to join us in disney. As of now FIL wants to join us on half the trip. He has a waitlist going for GFV and BWV. I'm not sure if they will come if either of their waitlist does not come through. I'm sure they could get a studio somewhere and they will have the car to meet us. This will require us to change ADRS around :( We will also have to see what happens if we change ADRs to 6 people and only 4 people show up.

Notice DD cast. Sunday she fell out of the tree in our back yard.
Untitled by LJcrochet, on Flickr
Cast will be on for 4-6 weeks. If it is 4 weeks, it will come off around June 17. If it is 6 weeks, it will come off beginning of July.

I moved the week of soccer camp to the last week of camp. I'm hoping cast is off before June 30th when day camp starts for the summer.

I have been bad about updating since not much has happened in our trip planning.
DD1 is going back to the orthopedic today to get the cast off. Hopefully for good. I told her I was picking her up after lunch/recess from school and she asked if I could just pick her up after lunch since recess is boring since she can't do anything.

FIL and his wife are joining us in wdw. I don't know their dates or if they have a room booked. They have about 2 weeks to get all that figured out so we can make our FP+ and figure out new ADRs.

Next change-
FIL and T booked 6 nights at OKW. I have no clue which of our 7 nights they are missing, but they only want to stay 3 nights

We have to call and try to add them to our ADR's and hope that they are up to coming with up.
This weekend, I want to talk to my girls and DH and figure out our FP+ plan. My girls depending on the day, want to met Anna and Elsa. I'm figuring i will make a FP+, we could always change it that day if they decide they don't want to do it. I know that right now at 30 days out I can book them for the 10 o'clock at night, last night I could not book them at all. I'm thinking that is one I will want to book towards the end of the trip.
FIL and T are linked in our my disney experience so we can make them FP+.
I wonder how booked up mine train gets?

So I have not updated this because there is nothing to update. I don't know which night FIL does not have booked, so no clue if i can start making his FP+ when we make our or not.

Still have not changed any ADR's, or decided about what local chain restaurants to check out with FIL and T. Any one have a favorite non-disney resturant they go to every time?

I did a little planning after I wrote my last post
Day 1: landing around 8:30, Magic kingdom. I love starting the trip with seeing the castle.
fp+ for MK. do the SDMT, and ?
dinner at garden grill
Day 2: typhoon lagoon
dinner at biergarten, so FP+ test track - wonder what the latest time I can make them for?
Day 3: hollywood studios day. dinner at 50's prime time. my plan is to FP+ toy story and hit rockin roller coaster as soon as we get to the park.
Day 4: animal kingdom. We have to FP+ the rapids since we promised DD1 we would come back in the summer just so she could do that and a water park. I know we will FP+ expedition everest, Have to decide on the last one. Do we do safari or primeval whirl or dinosaurs?
dinner at Akershus
Day 5 right now it is open since this day we are changing resorts. We have the afternoon tea booked. But I think I'm the only one who wants to do this. :(
Day 6: magic kingdom: chef mickey's breakfast and ohana dinner is booked
Day 7 magic kingdom: breakfast 1900 park fare dinner Trails' end restaurant
day 8 flight home at 2:10, so just breakfast at Crystal palace.

The good thing about having AP's is don't have to worry about wasting a day.
As soon as FIL and T finalize their plans we can fine tune ours, add them to some ADr's and cancel some others.

Love the plans so far. I wish I could do some of your ADRs this trip, but we are doing the QS dining plan, so nothing special...although I am going to do 50's Prime Time. Can't believe it is finally approaching FP+ time. I am going to be reading to see how it goes for you. We are right after on the 2nd.

The plans look great! When is your FP day?

I hope dd is doing better after getting her cast off - OUCH - poor girl.

Sorry I've been MIA here, still trying to catch up everywhere.
