We already have our ADR's for our upcoming trip in december and are thinking of changing to the DDP. Can we keep our current ADR's or must we make new ones?

Also we are doing CRT and already paid. Do they refund you the money or must you rebook (good luck getting an ADR now for december) and cancel old ADR.

Anyone ever done this? Not sure how it works. Thanks

You do not have to change your ADR's. It doesn't matter whether you are on the plan or not when you make them. Of course the restaurant must be on the plan list to use it. The DDP reservations are no different than non-DDP ADR's. When you show up you just tell them you are on DDP. I can't say we have done this but I think I speak with 99.9% accuracy. I believe they would refund you CRT payment but that is just from what I have read, not firsthand information.

As far as I know, the CC number you gave them for CRT is not actually charged unless you skip the reservation. When you get there, if you're paying OOP you could pay however you want (cash, a different CC or DDP). Was your CC actually charged??

We've got ADR's for CRT coming up next week. We're on the DDP, but I still had to give them my CC number (and there are no charges on it).

Keep the ADRs and don't worry about calling back or changing anything. It doesn't matter if you're on the DDP or not- they just normally ask so they can tell you that CRT (and HBD, etc) are 2 TS credits since some people don't know this.

Get the DDP! It's a nice plan, and you'll get it before it changes over to the new (less great) 2008 plan! :thumbsup2

You don't have to change your ADRs. We've actually done this a couple of times.

Also, IMHO, I would just pay OOP for the CRT meal. You can get a refund by calling Disney Dining. But, CRT is a two credit Signature Dining Experience on the DDP. When you compare the price of the meal with the cost of two sit down credits, it isn't a good value. Better to use those credits elsewhere.

If you are not on DDP when you make your ADR's, they do charge your credit card for CRT right away. I was able to make my ADR's before the 08 rates were out and so I did not have DDP yet. They charged my card and once I booked our trip I called back and they credited my credit card. He did have to "cancel" my CRT reservation and rebook it but everything was fine.

We decided to get the ddp after scheduling our ADRs - one is CRT. The CM I spoke w/credited our card for CRT - she didn't say anything about cancelling & rescheduling it - perhaps they do. But she didn't say anything. I was really nervous calling them to let them know I now had the ddp and I told the CM numerous times that because I didn't want anything to happen to our CRT ressie as its my DD4's 5th bday. She insisted everything was fine. She was very nice and probably the nicest CM I've talked to.

I called back later that day - everything was just fine.

I made ADR's and then went with the DDP and they said it was no problem. I paid in full for CRT on my cc because I did not want to use two ts meal credits for it.
