Changing tickets after fastpasses are booked

I currently have tickets booked for our August trip as part of a package through an agency. I can only get a maximum of 8 park days through this package. I was thinking of cancelling the ticket portion (I've spoke to the agent about this and that isn't a problem) and purchasing 10 day passes through undercover tourist. If I do this will I lose all of the fastpasses I have booked?

Buy the 10 day and link it and then cancel the 8. That way you should always have valid admission on your account so you don't loose FP+. If you cancel the 8 day and have no admission on your account it should cancel the FPs as well.
