Hi,

I can make my ADRs in a few days, and my mother (who is coming with us), just told me my sister and BIL may join us at the end of the trip, but nothing is decided yet. They will take care of their own expenses, but I'd like to dine with them in the group if they come. If I make my ADRs for 9 people instead of 7 for the days they're planning to come, and then they don't come, will I have to re-make those ADRs (probably close to Dec. when we go) or can I adjust the # of people on our current ones? I don't want to lose the ADRs I make. Or can I show up and just tell the host that we have a few less than planned in our party? How does that work?

I'd like to stay on the safe side and include them in our ADRs, but not if I am in danger of losing them!

DW has relatives in Tampa, and we've met them at WDW, sometimes on the spur of the moment. As a matter of course, we typically make reservations for two extra "just in case," and last minute adjustments haven't seemed to make any difference. I've jus told the host or hostess at the podium.

that's good to know!! i currently have all our adrs for six 'cause it is anticipated that my nieces will be joining us... but in the event they don't i was fearful that i'd have a problem... also, there's a very very slight chance that my sil/bro might join us for a day or two... i figured i'd call and try to add them to our adrs and if there's no availability, they'd have to starve ;)

I would agree with the other poster that if it's simply two people not showing up, just tell the host/hostess at the podium...who knows, it could simply be that two people weren't feeling well and couldn't make it.

HOWEVER, be aware that certain restaurants carry a 48-hour cancellation fee and if you don't call to change your ressies at these, you may be out your money. When you call to make your ADRs, Disney will notify you of these restaurants if you make reservations at them.
