Our 11 month booking window is coming up. As of right now we are planning just my bride and I in a studio. How easy it to change if more people join in to get a 1 or 2 bedroom?
Thanks

It totally depends on availability. If what you want is available, it is very easy to cancel the studio and book the larger villa. No penalty involved. You can do it yourself online or call MS and have gthe CM do it for you.

If you will be going during a popular time and if your home resort is one of the smaller resorts or a near-park resort AND if you have the points, consider booking both a studio and a 1 bedroom at 11 months. Then cancel the one you won't need when you know for sure you won't need it.

Also, if you own, its dependent on availability. If you are renting, you might not be able to do it even if there is availability - the owner might not have sufficient points, or your contract may not permit changes.

Thanks. We own at BCV so no issue there..
Not everyone plans their vacation 11 months out I guess!

BCV will book fairly quickly and availability will be pretty spotty once the seven month window opens for non-owners - you'll want to make sure any guests you bring commit within the next three months. After that, you may have to move to a different resort to change room size - likely SSR or VAKL or OKW. I'm assuming your trip is in April - you'll might be able to find something to switch to until January or February next year, but your choices will get slimmer and you may need to move resorts to complete the reservation - April not being a high demand time (unless you are right over the popular Spring Break/Easter weeks - I don't know when Easter is next year).

And, unless you don't care about wandering about in a bigger unit by yourself, get a commitment. Most of us have learned that what seems like a great idea to our friends when its still theoretical (except for the reservation we have in our hands) becomes just not possible when its time to book airfare or get park tickets - and we can get left holding the bag (I'll tell you that four people in a Grand Villa was very comfortable - and since our intended guest had passed away, we really couldn't blame him and his girlfriend for canceling).

Easter is late in 2017 -- April 16. This will change April's booking pattern.

Which means that if the OPs booking window is coming up, BCV will book much faster, and availability will be much tighter much sooner, because he's probably going the week before Easter.

We are actually planning President's week. Booking is around the 20th of this month.
We've been that week many times. I'll just have to light a fire under a few behinds! Ha!

Yeah, that's its own 7-month horror of an issue as well. Definitely light some fires. SNOOZE N LOSE!

13 months, 11 months - apparently addition and subtraction aren't my strong point today :).

But yes, light a fire under them.
