We have a ressie for this Friday for 8 days at BWV. Unfortunately my grandmother has just passed away. I am waiting to find out the funeral arrangements. Does anyone know if I can call MS and cancel the first couple of nights of the reservation and go a few days later, or will they cancel the whole reservation and I would have to rebook? I know they are sold out so I don't want to lose the reservation I have....my kids would be crushed!! THanks!

ok-I dont know the answer to if you can just cancel the first few nights...but...,if you can't, then just keep the whole reservation (even though you will lose some points) to make sure you have the reamaining days...

I've never had a problem dropping a night whenever I have needed to, they keep the same reservation number. The problem may be adding those nights to the end of your reservation, if nothing is available.

Technically, those points from nights you cancel should go into holding status, meaning you can only book them 60 days out, based on availability, and can not bank them even if nothing is available.

However, given your situation...Member Services has been known to work with people in emergency situations on a case by case basis.

Best of luck to you, I'm very sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss...I am hoping the MS has something for you when you call in a few minutes(I thought there was some openings like pool view when I checked a while ago-I know there was a standard view which they could not rent to me for cash, so you never know).

MS has been real responsive for us in similar situations. You should give them a call (the sooner the better).

Technically you can drop the days as long as you do so before Fri. They may still work with you after that but it would be outside the stated rules.
