OK, I know that this has been delt with many times on this forum. I have read the discussions, but never paid much mind to it because I thought that I would never be doing it.

Here goes......

In May, I am bringing a couple of girl friends with me to enjoy my DVC at BCV. This late in the game, there is a thought about arriving on Saturday instead of Sunday. My ressies are for a 1 bdrm for Sun thru Wed.

If we stay at OKW on Sat night [less points to use] is it difficult to get your luggage moved over to BCV on Sunday? What is the process to making this a smooth transition?

We've moved from OKW to FW and from ASSports to BCV. This is what happened both times: just leave luggage with bell services (once they came and got it, once I chose to drop it off), then you can go to the park. When done, just hop the bus to your new resort and check in. At BCV, I had to call bell services when I got to my room and they brought up my luggage within a few short minutes. At FW, the luggage was already in our cabin and cold items in refrigerator. Very easy-planning to do this again in January-spend Saturday somewhere else (but definitely with Disney), then Sunday-Wed. at BWV.

Do you tip whomever you're leaving your luggage with for transport?

Yes you should. You should then also tip the person at the new resort who delivers your bags to our room.

I try to avoid bringing girlfriends to DVC. My wife would kill me.;) ;) ;)

We move every trip and al we do is pack up our stuff and call bell services. They come and pick up the stuff from the room and transport it to the new resort. If you have gone and checked into the resort they will even put the bags directly in to the room for you. As for bringing girlfriends I just have them get their own room the wife is less likeley to catch you that way .

Hmmmm, don't like the look of that abbreviation. I know it's correct and all, but I just cannot help reading ***-ports. Must be my inner teenage boy :p

oh cool, it starred out on me. That's much better.

Yes, we've done this before and it is so easy :) Basically you just call up bell services and tell them you are checking out but you are moving to another Disney resort and you want your luggage transferred. They will take care of it. I've never had a problem.

Have fun

Thanks all for helping me out.

HBC, you may not know what you are missing! Just kidding.....

Very easy. Tell bell services when they pick up your luggage that you are transferring to another Disney resort. They do the rest. Go have a good time. The luggage will be there that afternoon, generaly by 4:00 pm in our experience.

We tip when they pick up our luggage and when it is delivered because more people are handling it. We also tip more per bag because they are doing more on our behalf.

We are switching resorts on our trip too.
I am hoping they will move our cold goods (milk, water) too.
