If I add a couple days to my vacation and stay the weekend at a value like POP and then move over to SSR how would I get my bags over to SSR.

Disney will move your bags for you but my understanding is that it can take a little while. You might want to pack a day bag with anything you might need that day otherwise I would just make arrangements to move it myself. If you don't have a car you could always rent a cab.

for a little more than the tip cost you will pay disney to transport you can take a cab and checkin your own bags... just a thought.

I have changed resorts a couple of times with no problems. I had Bell Services pick up my luggage and advised them to please move it to the next resort. I then went off to a park for the day and then checked into my new resort later in the day and luggage was there waiting for me. It's always gone smooth.:thumbsup2

We had Disney move our bags from the Poly over to Pop on one trip, and had no problems at all. We called the front desk, and they sent someone to pick up our bags from the room(we did tip him a few dollars). He tagged them in front of us, and told them they should arrive in 2-4 hours. We left, went to a Charachter breakfast and explored a new resort before heading over to Pop. I would guess that we got our bags in about 3-4 hours. It was really easy and care free....which was such a relief to me because I was really worried about it! I would keep a small bag with you with anything you may need-medications, cameras, etc.
