Changing resorts during stay

I have heard that Disney will move your luggage for you when moving from one resort to another. Would this be true as well when moving to the Dolphin since it is non-Disney? We are staying at the Contemporary for 4 nights and then moving to the Dolphin. Need to know if we will need to keep our rental car or not. It would save us about $125 to turn it in early. No, Disney will not move your luggage to the Dolphin.

We stayed at the Contemporary a couple of years ago and they did move our thing to the Dolphin. We did have a problem at first because one said they would and the other said they would not but they ended up moving it. Sorry I can't remenber all the details.

Maybe you could get someone from the Dolphin to pick you up? Even if you can't, I would get a taxi for around $10 or so and still turn in the car rental if you don't need it for anything else.
