We (my Dh, Ds 6 monthes, and myself) are checking in to ASSp 22-29 w/free dinning:yay: Well I now know that the main pool will be closed due to refurbishing, I got the letter like everyone else. My only issue is that this will be my son first time in a pool, or any body of water for that matter, other then his own personal bathtub. I'm just nervous that the other on site pool will be so filled to capacity that he will have a difficult time and be scared when he gets in the water, I don't want to tramatize(sp) him.
Now I know that we can go to the pools at the other allstar resorts, heres were I assume I will get blasted, I don't want to lug him through a whole other resort to get to a pool:sad2: . I know how much walking and lugging I will do on this trip, my Dh and myself have been there many times before (just never w/ a baby).
So do you think I can request to get moved to one of the other values on check-in? If we can great, if not we will live. At the end of the day We'll still be in DISNEY:dance3:
Thanks.

Have you tried to switch now? You can call now and see if Pop is available for your dates.

Is the kiddie pool going to be open? That's a great option for the little ones and not as crowded as the big pools.

I agree with the PP. The Disney website shows availability at ASMusic and ASMovies right now.

I have seen the availability online, and yes I have called twice within the last couple of weeks, and they keep telling me there is nothing availabile. I just figured I might have better luck at check-in maybe.

As to the availability online ... the CMs may not be showing any availability given your free dining discount. If you were cancelling your reservation and starting over, they might see more options.

I have not tried this, but I have been told that if you switch upon arrival, the other resort does not necessarily have to honor the discount on your original reservation. I'd be very certain to make sure that the free dining discount would be honored if you switch before you make the jump to another resort. Maybe someone else with more detailed knowledge of the resort policies can post the exact rules...

Thanks for your input ally76:) - I sure don't want to lose my free dinning!:sad2: I know that they allocate a number of rooms per promotion, once they're gone , there gone. But I know that some people do cancel last minute, so I figured their was a little hope.
