Changing Resort on Reservation

I currently have a reservation for 1 resort. If at the 7 month mark I want to change reservation to another resort do I need to cancel my first one and than secure the second one. My current reservation is using borrowed points and the new reservation will be for the same dates of the original using the same "banked points".

Also is it 7 AM that booking on-line is avail at 7 months?

Yes you would have to cancel the first reservation if you want to use those points for the second reservation.

If the second reservation is hard to get I would open two windows and start booking the first reservation and have the screen for canceling the old reservation then cancel and book.

On Line booking opens at 8 am not 7
