Has anyone had any experience changing an existing reservation to a new date? We booked way far in advance to take advantage of the early booking savings, but now I may have to change to a sailing a few weeks later to try to coordinate at a possible work trip to WDW (!!) and the cruise. My TA only goes as far as looking up on disneycruise.com the new date and telling me what the price is.

I have changed dates, but I don't know how much help I can be. I called my TA, who did as yours did, I imagine, checked prices and relayed them to me. We went through Costco on that, so some of the prices were much lower than DLC's site, some categories were about the same. There's not much more that they can do, is there?

I changed dates from Oct to Sept (Back in June) and the difference in cost was $11.

I recently changed dates from Sept. 13th 2003 to October 11th 2003, with no price difference at all. I made the change about a month after making the initial reservation though, and the cruise is over a year away. Also, I always book directly with DCL.

We are DVC members and booked through them so this may not be helpful. We had to change our cruise date. We "downgraded" one category because the category we wanted was not available (I could really not tell the difference other than we were on level 7 rather than 8 - big deal). We got points back for the difference but had to pay a $75 rebooking fee. That could just be a DVC thing.

We are also DVC members and had to rebook a cruise 3X last year due to my extended illness. We had to pay the $75 point exchange fee each time and were almost charged also for reprinting the cruise documents. See, if you change your date and it's after they've printed the cruise docs, they charge you something per person (I want to say about $25/person) to reprint the cruise docs. This is probably somewhere around a month to a month-and-a-half before the cruise date only, though.

We booked through DCL and had to change dates (twice actually). They were very accomdating and the only problem was getting the cabin location we wanted, but that worked out as well. The second change actually saved us quite a bit of money because we were changing from a "peak" season date to an "off" season date.

Only 10 days to the Wonder....... :)
