We fly into BWI on Southwest and then we have to change planes to finish the trip to MCO. We stay with southwest for the entire flight. The question I have is will southwest switch our checked luggage, or will we have to retrieve it at baggage claim and get it onto the next plane?:confused3 First time ever doing a connecting flight. Thanks for the help

On any flight that you take and have a connecting flight your luggage will automatically be transferred for you.

When you check it, they should put a tag on it for your final destination airport.

When you get off the plane at BWI you just proceed to the gate that your MCO flight is at. No need to leave the gate area and go through security again. Your luggage will be taken care of. If you are taking ME and put your tags on them, you will see them in your room later in the day/night.
