Changing number in party for ADR's, do we have to cancel?

We are going from a party of 8 to a party of 4, will we have to cancel or can we just drop the number? I will post in the cancellation thread when I actually make the change.

I changed my party size a couple of weeks after I had already made my ADR's. I just called them and told them that I was changing my party size, and some of the times changed (because I was changing from 4 to 6 people). But I would do this asap, to ensure the times you want. But you should get a new confirmation number when you change.

If you call to change it, they will have to cancel and re-book. So before they cancel it make sure they can get you a new reservation first.

Its easier going from a larger size to a smaller size then the other way around especially at popular restaurants.

Once we had an ADR for Chef Mickeys for 4 people and then my 1 year old fell asleep and DH stayed with her in the room and my older DD and I went to eat and there was no problem. I only did that once though back on our second trip.
