That's plenty of time. It's a small station all you have to do is walk up some stairs walk for like 2 minutes and then down some stairs. It takes like 5 minutes.
The trains I've got before are like those double deckers and there fairly comfortable. I don't have children yet so only ever done this with my boyfriend and once with my mum so may be different if you have kids.
My last 2 times, i had to change at Lille. Im a bit of a worrier thinking we will get lost or be late! But found it all really easy and quick to find!
like the above post states its only about 5mins. We sat on some chairs under the big electionic boards. soon as it showed platform number. you just had to go down a few more stairs and there you were at your train
same with me, also been double decker carriages. I always found when ive got them they are really busy! We even had to ask people to move out of our seats.
It was all easy and well signed! you shouldnt have a problem
Also, because the rail companies are linked, if for whatever reason Eurostar is late, they will honour your ticket on another TGV train from Lille. Well, i'm pretty sure that I read that somewhere, maybe someone can confirm ?
I have a similar wait at Lille on our next trip- hope as Ruthie says they would honour your ticket if you are delayed. it was that or wait for 2 hours at Lille!
I really like the TGV train, comfy with more legroom than the eurostar
I'm just waiting for my dates to go up for the change over! I'm going June 17th but the direct prices are like £189 each way when normally we only pay £60 each way!! I've been looking an te change over prices if booked in advance is £66 and you get there earlier so that's even better!! Just wish I didn't have to wait to book!
We have the same, but on the way back you need more time to go through the passport control etc, so the time goes quickly! Wonder if this will become more thorough after recent stories about DLP being a bit of an immigration loophole...
