Hi, I am wondering how difficult it is to change hotels mid-week? Since I can't decide between the Wilderness Lodge and the Beach Club, I was thinking about giving both a try. Can you check out early from the first hotel and go to one of the parks? What do you do with your luggage while you are at the park? Any input would be greatly appreciated, especially since my husband is not crazy about this idea.

Thank you

Switching Resorts is very easy and very common.

Tell your husband he has nothing to worry about. Simply call the hotels bell services the night before you will be departing, tell them what time to pick up your bags the next morning, they will come and pick up your bags, then they will transfer them to your new resort for you!

So all you have to do is just make sure to settle your bill with front desk (if needed) hop on one of those park busses, enjoy your day. Then when you are ready to go check into your next hotel, get on the bus to your next hotel, check in...and if it's after 3pm I believe your luggage should be waiting for you. So when you get there, bell services will either take it to your room with you, or they will drop it by when you are ready for it.

It's all very easy! I think it's a great idea to switch hotels so that you get to stay at two places on the same trip! Both hotels have so much to offer! I say go for it! How often are you in Disney anyways?

I went several times as a kid. But this will be the 2cd time my husband and I have brought the kids. We stayed at OKW 2 years ago. I'm hoping to be able to go every other year, we love it so much.

Thanks for your response and wish me luck talking my husband into switching. We would be staying in a standard room at WL for a few days and then renting points from a DVC member to stay in the Beach Club Villas.

If you are staying in a standard at WL, may I suggest requesting a Lobby View Room on the 4th floor. In my opinion, they are the best standard rooms to request because you get a suprise view of the fireworks from Magic Kingdom. Well, at least we did this past trip in December. :D

We usually do resort switching during our WDW vacations!

Kinda makes it like TWO or more vacations (depending how manytimes you switch) instead of one!

The most times we switched was a couple of years ago.

Started at Poly concierge for 3 nights, went to AKL concierge for 3 nights, then on to a dolphin Club Suite for a week!

And all the transferring was done at no cost, we DID TIP, and even the AKL did move our luggage to the Dolphin!

Go for it!:sunny:
