Changing FP+ times?

If I have a FP+ for 1-2 and I decide to try to change it, does it have be changed before 1:00 or do I have until 2:00 to change it? If you miss the time completely do you just lose it or does the system realize you didn't use it and let you pick another one? Just trying to make sure I understand everything before our trip in a few weeks.

If unused you can change it. 3 of is rode btmrr and 2 didn't. About two hours later changed it to sm for the two that didn't ride.
