Changing FastPass selection during ride window?

Is it possible to switch an unused FP after the ride window opens?

Ex: I have a 10:00am-11:00am FP for Expedition Everest. If I arrive at the ride at 10:10 and there is a short standby line, can I change that FP to something else, or did it get locked in at 10:00am?

Thanks!

Yes, i did this frequently last summer, arrived at FP only to see 10 or 20 min SB, swapped for a different ride later.

I think this is one of those things that was not consistent for everyone. When I was there in October, if the window had already opened, I could not modify/swap the existing FP for another one using the MDE app.

I was there September/October and it was like this too. It seems like it's changed since then, though.

For what it's worth, TouringPlans.com says this:

"Thus, if you make a FastPass+ reservation to ride Space Mountain at 7:30 PM, you have until 8:30 PM to use it, or change it to something else."

I may call Disney, to be sure, or ask a CM when we get there.

I just tested it. I made one for Journey of the Little Mermaid or whatever it's called for 11:35, and it let me go in and modify it at 11:40.

That was how it worked last June, but with all the IT problems lately, who knows.

Like a couple folks above, I was there in Oct and 2-3 minutes into my window, we decided we didn't want to head that direction yet & tried to change our FP. We were unable to make any changes. I was able to change things whose window hadn't opened yet. Happened a couple times.

When I returned, I asked about it here on DIS and people assured me it was a glitch and you are supposed to be able to switch any time prior to actually using or having the whole window expire.

Yes you can change it at anytime as long as you haven't scanned the turnstile at the ride and entered the fast pass attraction.

You can change it at any time.

If you have 3 fast passes set up for AK at 9,10, and 11am. Go to the park and find all lines are short and you don't need them. You can cancel them all, hop to MK and select three new fast passes on your phone.

It doesn't lock at the time the window opens and you can change it to a different time or different attraction after the window has already passed

Awesome - thanks! We booked all of our FPs between 9-1 (with a few exceptions), so if the June morning crowds are not as bad as they could be, I'd love to be able to switch them on the fly.

Remember it will only work if you don't use ANY of the fast passes. If you use even one, you won't be able to switch parks for the other 2. You can still edit times or rides within that park, but won't be able to change parks through your phone. Only thing at that time would be to cancel the other two then go to a kiosk in the second park to set up any fast passes.

We don't Hop, so that won't be an issue. It would be more of matter of changing our 9:05 FPs for the Safari to a later FP for something else if we arrived at the Safari at 9:30 and saw no significant wait for standby.

Thanks for the heads-up, though!
