I'm planning my first trip as a DVC owner for summer of 2008. I was wondering if I reserve my stay at my home resort and have to either change dates or decide to change resorts at the 7 month window will I have to pay a fee for changing my original reservation. Also would there be a problem if I by chance have to change my original reservation twice.

I also own a Marriott and am trying to exchange into Aruba through II for 2008 as well, but won't know about that exchange before I need to make my Disney reservations.

Thanks.

You can make changes at the 7 month window with no penalty with-in the DVC resorts.
I'm not sure if your trading out into II or DCL that there would be an additional fee.

I have switched my Vero trip in Aug. 3 times now from 1 studio to 2 with different dates to now a 2bdrm with the original dates.

I also switched from SSR to BCV for our June trip and this is common for switching at the 7 month window. We make our SSr ressie at the 11month and then see whats Avail at the 7 month. NO FEES are added for doing this.

You can change and modify your reservation as long as the dates are available and you still have points that are good to use. But, if you have points left over from the change, they are current year points and must be used during that year. You might also hit the banking deadline too late and would not be able to bank them.

Thanks guys. Glad to see there's no additional fees for changing a reservation. I'm hoping to stay with June but it depends on our Marriott exchange whether we're have to change to August or not.
