It looks like we may have another person join us on this vacation. Do I need to call and change all my ADRs and will it effect them? I wouldn't think so considering most tables are made for 4, but you never know. We're on the dining plan if that information changes anything.

Thanks! :goodvibes

I had to change (1) ADR from 2 people to 6. when i called they told me i had to cx the one for 2 people and make a whole new ressie for 6--

i would definately call and ask--- you dont want to assume and then get there and can do nothing about it! :guilty:

Upping from three people to four people SHOULD not be a problem, since most tables are for an even number of people, primarily four. You can call CRO and check, but generally your change is the easiest adaptation.

I just did something similar. My DD19's friend is coming along so I had to change our ADR's from 5 to 6. I didn't think there would be a problem because I figured we would be at tables for 6 anyway, but I had to change days for the HDDR and couldn't get Chef Mickey's because at both, they said we were at tables for just 5.

I made a couple of new ADR's today, and didn't have any problems with those. One of those was the Princess Storybook lunch at Akershus, which I figured would be all booked up, but it was wide open for 8/16. I had my choice of times. Dinner for CM was booked up, but I got breakfast, which I had my choice of times too.

I have one more to make -- DD wants to go to Coral Reef, so I'll try to do that in the next day or two. Then I can sit back and not obsess about ADR's anymore (unless I decide to make changes). :goodvibes

I may have the same situation. My DSis might come with us now. I have all my ADRs for 3. I also figured adding one more shouldn't be a problem. We also figured it would be better if we had an additional room too as the 3 of us (My mom, my sis, and myself along with my DD6, would be a little too crowded for 10 nights.) And you now how sisters are :rotfl2: . We always have a disagreement about who drives.

Knowing my sister though, she may wait too long to decide! I've told her she needs to decide very soon (Free dining offer ends 6/25) and already the flight we are on has changed from $218 rt. to $292. She could take a later flight there (and use Magical Express) and return home with us for the same $218. Actually, this wouldn't be that big of a deal for her. When we went in Jan. she decided last minute to join 5 of us. (we already had 2 rooms). She flew with us to Florida but took a different flight, and airline, home. She left about 1/2 hr. before we did and arrived about 15 min. after us. She said it was fine, she talked to other people on the plane.

So, if she goes, should I change my dining plans too?

My sister just decided all of a sudden to join us too! But I think going from 3-4 is alot easier than going from 4-5....I rebooked EVERYTHING just in case, and luckily got all of my original restaraunts and my new times are only within about 10 minutes of my old ones. There is another thread that is asking the same question except going from 2 to 4. Just knowing Disney, and it being the free dining. I would not take any chances. I sure would hate to get to a restaurant we were looking forward to, only to be turned away. :guilty:

A few years ago, my brother tried to add me to their five-person reservation at Chef Mickey's (we were both coincidentally there at the same time) and was told he'd have to change the entire reservation to 9 or 9:30, which naturally you can't do with three small kids. Turns out, they WERE given a table for six!

Any time you are going up by one from odd to even just show up at the podium. The people at Dining Reservations are either in Orlando itself, Tampa, or somewhere in Kansas. The calls are monitored/recorded and the call center people are graded. They have to tell you the official rules.

I have only once seen, at any WDW restaurant, a table actually designed for an odd number of people. That is at V&A where some of the four-tops have leaves underneath that can make them into a round that will seat seven.
