Changing ADRs again and again

Am I the only one that changes my ADRs multiple times before it's actually trip time?? I do it every year, I can't seem to help myself! Sometimes I change because I change my park plans and sometimes I just have second thoughts... (or third, or fourth).

I hear ya! I've been changing mine since April....each time I make a change my plan is 'perfect now'. LOL

I think you nailed it - it's that epic quest for the perfect set of ADRs.... just when I think I have it I decide something else sounds better.

I too am a frequent ADR changer. I always think I have my lineup complete then I read a new menu and second guess my plans. I always have to tell myself to calm down its only a meal!

Between new and cancelled - I must have at least 100 emails from Disney! I think, 2 weeks out, that I am set. Finally set with my ADRs. I found a note from May about a touring plan with 2 ADRs noted that I even forgot I was considering. I thought... oh Kona would be a good idea..... NO! I am done! Whew!:cheer2:

I know, and really I've had very few bad meals at Disney, usually I am very happy with my meals. But, I second guess too - something always ends up soudning better....

I can't even imagine how many e-mails I'll end up with by the time my trip rolls around. I just booked the trip a week ago and have changed my ADRs three times already! Not every meal but three changes in four days... it's a sickness :crazy2: But also really fun to have all those choices!

YUP! I have been changing almost all of mine since 180 days out. I wont touch CRT and Ohana or the pre RD Tusker but everything else has been changed and changed again!

We all have those "don't touch" ones I think. Ohana is an untouchable for me too, also Sci-Fi because my son gets a big kick out of the movie clips. Haven't been in a few years and we're looking forward to going back. We've been trying to pick new restaurants this year instead of going back to the same old favorites and I think that is making me change even more this time. Right now I have Cape May (for my seafood loving hubby), Sci Fi, Chefs de France, Boma, 50s Prime Time, Rose and Crown (during Illuminations), Ohana and Kouzzina. I'm sure I'll change at least some of those again....

Normally, I am not. I may tweak a time or two, but the majority (and I'm on DxDDP, so there's a lot) stay the same.

This year though, between moving the trip back 2 weeks and readjusting for changing plans, it's a mess. I think they're set now, but we'll see what happens :p.

8 days out and I'm still changing mine.

Glad to know I'm not alone, though I usually do most of my changing in the beginning stages of trip planning, once I get as close as you are I've usually locked them in... that being said I can easily picture myself changing 8 days out :lmao:

I've been debating doing DDXDP this time. We've done it in the past and enjoyed the freedom of both doing signature restaurants and also being able to do more TS (not a big QS fan). I just need to figure out if we can justify the cost.... my Hubby is coming this time (for the first time ever, he's not a theme park guy and usually stays home while my son and I go) The food is definately something I know he'll enjoy which is making me think that opting for the DDxDP may be a good move...

Count me in as changing things constantly! I had everything *perfect* at the 180 day mark....or so I thought.....since then I have changed things around many times!! Truth be told....im still stalking the site to "tweak" a few times and if I am able to snag an ADR for Be Our Guest....there will be more changes on the horizon......lol

I'm considering trying for Be Our Guest as well, just because its new. However, I don't think either my son or my hubby would be into it so I probably wont...

With about a month to go, my ADR hunt has all but ground to a halt as I have pretty much what I want and can't seem to get better times on 2-4 I still search on. I've been trying to bump a 1:20 LC to noonish and a 4:20 LTT to closer to 5:30 on a MSEP night. Having secured the ADR, I may try my luck to get in early if all else fails. Have a couple of 8:30a park breakfast that I'm also trying to bump back to 8a as well although these aren't a priority.

I was one of those over-planners who felt she had to get her ADRs in on Day 180 -- even though I was halfway around the world on another trip! I did the time-zone math and was online less than an hour after my "window" opened. And I wasn't even trying for CRT or anything super-hard!!

Of course, by the time our trip arrived, I didn't have ANY of those original reservations. We shifted our trip back one day, moved a couple ADRs, added and subtracted, made a different plan for our last morning, etc. And we still got everything we now wanted around the time we wanted it.

So next trip I will make one or two ADRs early if they are hard-to-get or special occasions, but I won't stress as much about the rest of them.

I'm right there with you - set up all my ADRs at 180 days out... now I'm already changing them and I'm sure I'll change them again. I'd love to say I won't do this next time but I know I will because I do it EVERY time :rotfl2: Planning is half the fun for me and rearranging ADRs goes with the territory I think. As my plans change so do the ADRs.... but I must say there is some satisfaction in being able to change plans and change ADRs successfully to make the new plan work!

Yes, I'm in the ADR Changers club, too. Every time I think I have pertfect set, the next day I think about some other possibilities. I don't change the important ones much because they're so hard to get, but part of the fun of planning is looking for that elusive "perfect" set of ADR'S. 62 days and counting! :)

We made a "maybe" plan before our 180 days. So at 180 days, I booked a set of ADRs that would work. Then the EMHs/crowd numbers came out and we switched our days around. I panicked thinking we wouldn't be able to get what we wanted/needed. But I was able to change them all, even getting better times on most.

We're still 4 1/2 months out, but I spend hours (ok, probably only minutes) staring at available CRT ressies wondering if I should switch to there from Akershus. I'm going insane. I think the ability to have ADRs has made planning this trip a million times more stressful than I ever imagined it would be. :rotfl:

I think the craziest change was while I was on the bus from Epcot back to the hotel because we forgot something, and I was afraid we might not make it back for our time. Yes, I find myself re-working things as some things come up that I was trying for but maybe didn't get at first. Overall, every time I go through this I think I'm going to be in Disney, how could any of this be wrong or better!
