Changing a reservation you've rented out

Hi everyone,

I rented points for a stay at BCV in June, but I need to change the dates to next winter, sell it to someone else, something... I just can't go then.

Before I start bugging the person I rented from, what are my options?

You should contact the person you rented from right away. Due to use year, it may be impossible to change the reservation to next year, but you won't know until you contact him/her. You can't sell it to someone else. Only the point owner can do that.

Did you sign an agreement? If yes, what does it say regarding cancelation? If you didn't do an agreement, did you discuss cancelation with the point owner or change in plans with the point owner.

At best, he/she will be able to cancel the reservation and re-book one next year for you. At worst, you will be out the money you spent because of use year restrictionss that the point owner has no control over.

Only the member you rented from can make any changes to the reservation. Many members will be happy to change dates for you- based on availability and expiration of the points used. (The points used for the June reservation may be expired before next winter.) If you can find another renter for the reservation, the member may also be willing to simply change the name on the reservation.

As HBC suggested, contact the member you rented from for assistance with this immediately. He/she is the only one who can make any changes to the reservation.
