Does anyone know what changes are being made to the CBR pool?

We plan to return to CBR in August 2008 (have been 2 years in a row!)we just love the fact that you can grab a bagel for breakfast and eat outside overlooking lake and pool area!

My 8 year and is keen that our next stay features a cool slide and wondered it there were plans to improve the current slide?

Any information you can give me would be gratefully received

Perhaps I should have read the comments made on a thread yesterday!! It seems that he pool will be closed for best part of next year.

Change of plan then.............HELP!!! :scared:

So out of the remaining Mods, I have heard the following negative comments:

CSR - the seating in the Pepper Market is confusing and you have to be seated first?

POR and FQ - rooms are dark and some aren't very clean!?

Please can anyone recommend which one of these would be good for us, we like to be able to sit outside and eat breakfast in the mornings - (yes even in August! we don' get much sun in UK! and air conditioning is just wasted on us anyway!) We would also like a good pool area. Buses are not that important as we tend to get around by car. :coffee:

Thanks for your help..........:goodvibes

CBR would still be a great place to stay. They are installing slides on two of the quiet pools. Sitting outside at Old Port Royale is a great way to start or end the day. Just keep checking the first post of the CBR FAQ thread listed below.

I've stayed at CSR, POR and POFQ and I loved all of them.

Favorites at CSR: The main pool area and water slide. I loved walking around at night it was beautiful. I loved the Ranchos desert theme. The Pepper Market is the best food court.

Favorites at POR: The water taxi to FQ and DTD. Our quiet pool by Alligator Bayou Building 34. Little geckos on the sidewalks (kids love them). River Roost Lounge (comfy leather chairs, drinks and entertainment)

Favorites at FQ: Serpent pool is awesome. (Not as crowded as main pool at POR). Quaint streets and walkways. FQ is nice because it is smaller and you don't have far to walk to anything.

POR and FQ I really didn't notice the rooms being dark or dirty. We just got back from POR last week and the maid knocked at our door the same time every day like clockwork (about 10:30 a.m.) and asked if we wanted our room cleaned. If we were hanging out in the room we just got extra towels, soap, cups, etc. from her. When we weren't there and came back our room was very clean and straightened up.

At CSR the Pepper Market sounds like it might be confusing but it's really not trust me. We ate there every day at least once and never had a problem. You are seated at a table first and you order your drinks from the server and then you are free to go order your food. The food is very good.

If I had to pick a favorite it would be CSR probably because that is the first resort we stayed at so it feels a little more special to me.

Hope that helps!!! :wizard:
