Hi,

Just got our tickets for MVMCP December 9....it's our first time going and I'm SO excited!!!

The tickets say that there will be ONE souvenir photo per party...I remember reading a thread recently about people getting lots of photos without a problem. Is this a change to the policy, or is it just "looser" than they specify on the tickets?

Any veterans know??

Thanks!

You are allowed to order as many as you want, you just receive only one for free. (Actually, they gave us two.) About 10 days after the party, you will receive in the mail the picture that was taken and an order form, allowing you to order more copies and different sizes for an additional cost.

That is different from last year.. but I don't remember what the tickets said on them. We were asked how many in our party (i.e. how many tickets purchased) and we received 4 pix for free in the mail after getting home.

So, not sure if our tickets said the same as yours, but we got the 4 pix for free anyway???

I noticed the wording as well. It may well be a change in policy and the only way to find out, I think, is to see what happens that day. I'll bet calling a CM now you'd get all different kinds of answers.

Last MNSSHP in 2002, you could get as many photos as (adult) tickets you purchased.

We'll see this year if it's new or not.

We were there this past Christmas. We had a party of 6 adults and 3 kids. In line they asked how many in our party. We said 9.
A couple of weeks later I received 9 pictures in the mail. We did not have to pay for the extra pictures. I just checked the paper that came with our tickets. It says ONE souvenier photo per party. Hope that helps.
:D

so maybe what they mean is one photo per PERSON in the party??? That makes more sense. After all, every person in the party paid for a ticket of the same value.

Interesting. Last year I was expecting just one photo for our family of 4 because of what the sheet said that came with our tickets. We got 3 photos because my DD was 2 at the time and had no ticket. Nice surprise, we sent the extra 2 to grandmas who were thrilled. Don't know what they will do this year.

I think what they may be talking about is each paying ticket gets one photo but they will only take one group picture.

Last year when we were in line for our picture there was a family arguing with a CM. They had six people in their group and wanted to have six different pictures taken in varying groups. I.E. the whole group together, just the kids, just the females, just the parents. They were really making a scene. The deal was supposed to be you get one group photo and each ticket holder gets a copy of the picture.

Do they have several places to have your picture taken during the party? If there's only one, when is the best time to have your picture done?

There are about 4 or 5 places to get your photo taken and off the top of my head I remember the one by Peter Pan and It's a Small World and the one right by Liberty Tree Tavern...

I think the best time is right when you arrive if you get there early enough and while everyone's waiting for the first parade...or if you can stick it out, toward the end of the night they die down too!

Last year, we had our pictures taken at the COP. We were in the park early and had to go to tomorrowland to wait for MVMCP to start. All the photo spots we went by weren't open yet, but the station at COP was open already.

I don't know if that was normal, because there was a big crowd that night. The night before, the party got pretty much rained out and those poeple were given tickets to our night.

In previous years, they asked if everyone was at the same address, in which case you would get one or if you lived at different addresses they sent one out to each. Last year we automatically got 2.

When we first went to the party in 1998, they stamped the back of your ticket with "photo". In the years after that, they didn't do that. I wondered if you could go to another station and use another address to get another picture (never tried it myself).

My Mom and I did the Mother's Day picture on Sunday, which works the same, I'll let you know if we get 1 or 2. One change - they gave us a copy of the sheet as a "receipt". First time for that. I thought maybe they did it in case your picture was lost, they could trace the card # from the receipt.

betterlatethannever,

Sounds like you were there the same time we were (although many of the parties got rained out last year). We were there Sunday 12/15 and also got ours at COP while waiting for the rest of the park to reopen. Boy, it was cold that night (Well, for Florida anyway).

We went on Friday Dec. 6 and met many people who went the previous night and got rained out.

It was cold on Friday also. We flew down that day from Cleveland and I don't think Cleveland was that cold LOL. Luckily, I brought my winter coat and GLOVES. I wore the gloves the entire night. It did seem to warm up after midnight (but it could have been the hot chocolate):D The rest of the weekend was warm (almost too warm).
