Changes to MK Wishes dessert party-Same Day Reservations

Sorry I was hoping for that too but no such luck. Maybe you can spend it on a spa day to help with the stress of planning ! I just booked the early morning fantasyland thing. I know it was my choice but it's really feeling like you have to shell out more and more money just to make sure you get to experience things.
I almost booked the Fantasyland morning thing but decided we would just do a pre park reservation and head to Frontierland.

Disney needs to install a ride like Forbidden Journey but not insist on the locker. They could just shake all of your money, phones, and cameras right off of you and collect them in a net below:sad2:

LOL, would be faster and less painful

Tables are NO longer allocated. They are all pushed closer to railing and NO standing is allowed. You must stay at the table you managed to grab when you arrived ... meaning arrive early or be sitting under the overhang with potential partial view.

Wow.. What a horrible set up. That is a lot of money to spend on a partially obstructed view and some so-so desserts. I am surprised that people keep on paying for stuff like this.

So my prediction is that this will turn into Celebrate the Parade and Fireworks Dessert Tour! For a mere $149 per person (yes, children too - they eat more sweets than adults and they have eyes) meet your mouse-eared guide at the Terrance as you grab some delicious cupcakes. Then follow your guide to a prime MSEP viewing area. Then be in the tail end of the parade (!!!!!) and follow your guide to the prime CTM viewing location. Next, your guide will lead you to primo Wishes fireworks viewing! End your tour at a fabulous surprise gift shop. Order online or call and ask for Maggie today!

You're welcome, Disney. :D

Honestly, I am surprised they are giving the best viewing location to the same day folks. That just doesn't make sense to me. Especially if the early reservations are non-refundable (although I'm confused because it sounds like some people here have cancelled).

We are the few informed here. I bet most book it having no idea how any of it works.

Can you photoshop some mouse ears onto that guest?

And keep it handy. I have the feeling you might need it again in coming weeks......

There's a lot of humor on the boards today in threads that weren't started to be funny! Looks like we're in a very "if we don't laugh, we'll cry" kind of mode. . .

I think Disney is making us so crazy that laughing is the only option :rotfl:

I was going to do the dessert party before they raised the prices last year. Like others say, while worth is different to everyone, it wasn't to us.

I've been on disneys side with all the recent things they've done in paying extra for things, but this one just seems odd. When we used our wishes FP (which we liked but agreed we wouldn't do it agin anyway), it was packed. Hard to believe they are going to add all those people to the dessert area, which I've never been to but can't imagine it being able to accommodate all those people.

Like I said earlier, I'm not surprised they did this. It honestly makes perfect sense to charge a little extra for a prime viewing spot. I just think they should've done some type of dining package or something else, but they're probably trying to add more people to these dessert parties.

I agree this sounds like it will be a hassle to get in line to reserve the party then be in a crowded area trying to get desserts. Let me get this right all the desserts will be served in the Tomorrowland Terrace? Unless they use both sides maybe it wont be as crowded. :confused3
