Silly question, where in Canada can I get the US$ changes for pressed pennies? I have an US$ account with TD, can I ask them to give me quarters and pennies? If not, would I be able to walk in a bank in Buffalo and ask for changes? I hope to get things ready so that I don't have to waste my time in WDW. TIA

I never seem to have a problem amassing change. :rotfl:
It sure seems to pile up in my pockets quickly. Everytime you buy something just use bills & before you know it you'll have to much.

can you use canadian quarters and pennies or does it only take us quarters and pennies at TD they will not give you any change only bills

Just ask for change at anywhere at Disney. My daughter loves the pressed pennies and collected 50 or so our last trip. The cast members are always willing to help.......

Yes, the Can pennies work, but quite honestly, they do not work as well as the US pennies. I used one of each to test it, and the US penny "pressed" better (it was longer than the Can penny). I would stick with the US pennies. I always ask the CMs at the registers for change, and they are more than willing to dig for the shiny ones too! I have even given them a quarter and then they would give me all their shiny ones and then the rest in nickels or dimes so I wasn't stuck with all dark and dirty pennies.

Actually, this might be part of the problem.

The composition of pennies has changed a lot since pressed penny machines were invented. Older pennies will "press" better. You can always clean a dirty penny (ketchup works well), but, you can't increase the copper content.

I'd probably look for the oldest pennies I could find and then clean them myself.

I got my quarters from the laundry room change machine in my resort. .

That is a great idea. The laundry room has a change machine. I have been collecting quarters out of my cdn change since last time I went and my friend can exchange a US quarter for a Cdn quarter in her till at work so she has been doing that for me.

It is funny, I have the exact opposite problem than you guys, I have 3 rolls of quarters and only need one. I only need 11 more pennies to fill my book. But I have no place to exchange it for bills, the banks won't take US coin and you need a US bank account to exchange them at a US bank. I guess I will just have to bring them with me and carry alittle at a time to spend it all.

When we went to Disneyland, we went to a ticket booth and explained we needed change - they were more than happy to exchange our bills for change.
