I only have 28 days until I make my ADRs. In 2008, we did the DxDP and dh agreed to "pay me" for doing our taxes with the DxDP. We are staying 8 nights at POR. Dh is not going--he can't leave the farm that long. But my friend (hey, Gillian), dd9, ds8, and dd6 will be going.

We have a couple of food allergies. DD9 has a food allergy to bananas and possibly pineapple (some rashes), so Ohana for dinner was going to be out. DF cannot have seafood.

As far as where we have eaten before:
TS:
Trail's End (bk)
Crystal Palace (lu, di)
LTT (di)
Hollywood and Vine (bk--yuck)
Mama Melrose (di)
Cape May (bk)
Princess Storybook (bk)
Coral Reef (di--yum--so sad we can't return)
Le Cellier (lu)
CS:
Sunshine Seasons
Backlot Express
ABC Commissary
Cosmic Ray's
Flame Tree Barbeque
Everything Pop!
Riverside Mill

I have GASP! 24 credits and these are my plans--anymore ideas?
TS
breakfasts:
  • Crystal Palace
  • Cape May Cafe
  • Princess Storybook Dining
  • Tusker House
  • Cinderella's Royal Table
  • Whispering Canyon

lunches:
  • San Angel Inn
  • Le Cellier

dinners:
  • Ragaln Road
  • Tony's Town Square
  • Hollywood Brown Derby
  • Teppan Edo
  • Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue
  • Grand Floridian Cafe
  • Chef Mickey's

As far as CS, we are planning on trying these. Do you all have any other suggestions?
  • Cosmic Ray's
  • Toy Story Pizza Planet
  • Sassagoula (POFQ)
  • Sunshine Seasons
  • Flame Tree Barbeque
  • Earl of Sandwich

Any other suggestions? What about uses for snack credits? I'm thinking as far as snacks go, frozen lemonade would be a great idea for that time of the year.

I would suggest a couple of signature restaurants. Using 3 meals a day is alot of food and alot of park time and travel time if you aren't renting a car.

Donald's Safari Breakfast at AK was very good.

1900 Park Fare (Mary Poppins and Friends for Breakfast, Cinderella, Step-Sisters and Mother for dinner)

Coral Reef does have steak, not sure but they should be able to prepare something for your friend that has no seafood. The restaurants are really good at making sure people with allergies are safe.

I was going to suggest the same thing...snag some more signature restaurants.

We find it's the best "use" of the DxDP, plus it serves double duty. It allows us to try new (more expensive) restaurants that we probably wouldn't pay out of pocket for and since we're using more credits for those places, it keeps us from making ADR's for 3 meals a day, which the other poster pointed out, frees up a little more time to enjoy the parks.

Plus we usually eat a big breakfast to start the day (mainly character meal buffets) so we're pretty full and just snack until dinner, which we eat fairly early since we have little ones that get crabby if were out too late.

This also let's us use more of our snack credits, because let's face it...there are just too many good snacks to pass up...Mickey Bars, Funnel Cakes, Dole Whips, German Pretzels, etc. You get the idea.

I'm in agreement with the others -- try some more signature restuarants. Specifically, I'd get rid of Tony's (I always want to go, and then I'm always disappointed) and go to California Grill. The kids will love the view.

Also, for CS, don't overlook the World Showcase options. Speaking of World Showcase, I read today that San Angel Inn is going under refurb (with no end date mentioned). Might be worth double checking its availability.

Finally, remember you can use snack credits for cookies/candies/snacks from the gift shops (they're labelled for you) to bring home as souvenirs.

Please please please skip Tony[s head over to Cali Grille -dd 12 loves CG - and we were never treated so RUDE in our trips as we were treated at Tony's - the more I read here - Tony's is a "ew ok trip" our food was so different from the same food around us - so I know its a hit or miss - a TS restaurant should NOT be hit or miss!!

go to Cali Grill

go to CRT over Tony's!!

go to Yachtsman (2TS at Yachtsman - head over from EPCOT!) or even try JIKO 2TS...

at HS - try Brown Derby ( a 2TS)

or at least for a CS do Backlot --- or Sci Fi (with Dx DP why do a CS?)

I am trying for CRT, Hollywood Derby, and Hoop dee Doo. Hadn't thought of Cali Grill, but I really need to. . .
