Now we get to stay longer!
We booked our package nearly a year early via Disney because we're using frequent flier miles and I wanted to make sure we could get airline tickets.
At the time they told me that if I wanted to come in May and stay at a Disneyland hotel that I could only book a room for three nights. We really really wanted to stay four nights but reluctantly booked the package for three nights and I've been grumbling about it ever since.
Yesterday I was looking at their website and saw that the package looked different. Once I investigated I realized that with the new package we could stay as many nights as we want, can get a one hour early pass to fantasyland and can be a part of Mickey madness!!! I called to confirm and was told that I could change my package without a problem but would have to give up my "50th anniversary commemorative clock." I was willing to make that sacrifice (although the clock would have been a nice souvenier).
So... we get to stay one extra night now and have 5 full days in Disneyland for just $200 more (at the Grand Californian)!!! I finally got what I wanted afterall. Of course, we have to pay the airline $100 for the ticket change - I guess it doesn't always pay to plan early!
