So DH and I originally planned to stay at OKW for 3/30 to 4/5 because it was the only thing open with the 40% code from the postcard. I wanted to arrive on the 29th but it isnt covered by the code. So I called today to book the one night anyways ($416.25 for that one night and the rest of the time it is $212.63, I know I am nuts) and I asked the CM if there was any other deluxe properties open and she said that I could do a split stay and have my pick of AK for $169 a night, WL for $179 a night or BWV for the same as the OKW. So I am going with 3/29 to 4/2 at OKW and 4/2 to 4/5 at BWV.

Did I make a mistake? Never stayed at either resort but I was getting worried that we would feel too far out from the parks at OKW.

I've not stayed at OKW, but I have dined there. In some ways, the theming isn't as great there, but on the other hand, it's close to DTD, and somewhat closer to MK - at least in how the buses travel.

EMH hours aside, I'd probably plan ot spend my BWV days at Epcot and/or MGM.

Do AK and MK on the OKW days.

I've done split stays before, and really enjoyed it. You lose some time checking out/in, but changing resorts is pretty cool too.

One tip - if you can - pack accordingly. If you can - do a first part of trip/last part of trip pack initially. If you can't do it for the first part of the trip, at least you can do it for the second half of the trip. Put all your dirty clothes in one suitcase when you move. That way cleanup at the second resort will be a snap, and you'll gain back some of the transfer time.
