Change to June Closures

Thanks for that. I'm pleased with this, as it means nothing's closed during our visit now as it stands. :)

Thanks for the update! :thumbsup2

It doesn't affect our trip as we are there for the 9th and 10th, too. But will affect the early half-termers!

just closed on our first day - think i can cope with that!!

Only open the day we get there then. Shall have to remember that! Thanks for the heads up!

me too! Better let the kiddos ride it non stop that day...but seeing as they've got till 11pm to do it...I guess it's no problem!:cool1:

These are our exact holiday dates. The only one who'll be disappointed is my mum she loves the carousel :rotfl:
It's usually open during EMH isn't it? Hopefully this means something ekse will replace it in the mornings.

Ooh I can't remember if Carousel is open during EMH? Is it?

Yes, Lola it would be great if something else was open in it's place :thumbsup2

Have to say, not too bothered about it being closed, it is a beautiful ride, but a similar ride can be found at quite a few fairgrounds (I know it's not quite on Disney's level but the principle is the same). We too will try and ride it on our first night just so it's ticked off!

Thanks for the update Jo :)

Yes the carousel is normally open during EMH. We have been twice before when one of the rides in fantasyland has been closed and they have opened IASW instead. I am not really upset because I thought the same about being able to find a carousel in most fairgrounds and it will be open on our last day.

I'll see you there! 10:55pm we'll be the crazies going round and round and round...

Tbh we usually only go on it a couple of times during an entire trip anyway, usually during emh or last thing. Would love IASW to be open during emh instead!

Ooh IASW would be great during EMH. Although DH might not think so :rotfl2:. He finds the infectious tune a bit erm, irritating (think it's a man thing! :rolleyes1).

I'm sure on our first trip something was closed during EMH - ah just remembered it was Orbitron and they opened Star Tours instead.

Shall we start a campaign for IASW to be open?:goodvibes

Mind you, it's going to be a hard push to make EMH and Dreams most days for me! :upsidedow

I think when one of the fantasyland rides is closed they open IASW but if it is one of the discoveryland rides they open Star Tours. That would have been good for us because Star Tours is quite a favourite with the older girls. We tend to concentrate on PP, Dumbo, Orbitron and Buzz during EMH because they are the rides which get longer queues later on but we would be far more likely to ride IASW than the carousel. We normally only do the carousel once or twice on a trip.

Oh no Jo, sorry, I didn't explain very well. I realised it was another attraction within a certain land that would be open, so another Fantasyland attraction in this case. I was just saying we had Star Tours when one in Discoveryland was closed. We quite liked Star Tours actually :thumbsup2 and managed to get on Orbitron on the last day as it was back on! So, hopefully we'll 'win' with this closure too :).

Agree about Carousel - don't do it that much really so it's no big miss - although I do think it is pretty to look at.

I think we are all going to be able to spot each other a mile off on this half term trip :rotfl2:

I did manage to catch another diser in one of my photos one year - I'm sure I have a pretty good chance of doing it again, it seems like half the board will be there:rotfl2:

Just wanted to join in this thread.... Looking at everyones ticker, I felt as though I should!!
