Change reservation due to free dining?

Did anyone cancel their reservation for early August so that you can book the free dining promotion? We are thinking of doing this once free dining is offered to the public.

We'll be canceling 3 rooms for Pop for Aug. 15-19 if anyone needs them. They are not within the FDDP range, so will not be using them. Will stay at our DVC resort instead on points. My DIL plans to cancel her 4 rooms at Pop for Aug. 11-19, but hopes to get a value resort during mid-September on Thursday.

I cancelled CSR Aug 12-19th which was to be our first week of vacation and currently have what was to be my second week at CSR as my first week, and booked a new week to start on Aug 26 (as my new second week at CBR instead w/FREE DINING! To make matters more complicated, if a new offer doesn't come out for free dining for my first vacation week Aug 18-26, I have plans to cancel that week and cruise to the caribbean out of Port Canaveral the first week (same price as Disney package with pay-for dining) and still do free dining the week of Aug 26. Are you confused yet?

Maybe 5 or 6000 more people will cancel their mid-Aug reservations, and Disney will open free dining up for a longer period! (I know, I know.)
