Change Package to Room only

Was wondering if I could change my package thats already booked to just room only without cancelling and rebooking. I don't see any reason to keep the package since there is no discount available and room only gives much better flexibility with cancellation in case something happens. I haven't reached 30 days out yet. Don't want to cancel and rebook because there are no hotels currently available when I go in early December. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you have to rebook everything and then buy park tickets separately, sorry. I think you will also lose your park reservations. But I suggest to call and ask, sometimes Guest Services can help with these things.

One thing to remember, if you have to cancel a room only, you don't get refunds for your park tickets. I think you can just put what you paid towards future tickets.

The only way to re-book a package to room-only without canceling and re-booking is to modify the package to a "basic package" which is, essentially, a room-only reservations under package terms and conditions, so that doesn't really help you. I would suggest calling WDW (or your TA if you booked through one) to see if Guest Services can somehow cancel your package and then snag the room you are releasing. It's a long shot, but might work - you will need to speak with Guest Services and not a regular reservations CM, however. I would also just keep checking every day for cancellations so you can book a room-only and then cancel your package.
