Hi Kook I know it's been a crazy week for me,too as we wrap up (no pun intended ) the last week of school before Christmas. Junior High kids are JUST as excited as little ones for the holidays!

Princess, please describe your Christmas cakes. They sound yummy!

....as in sauce for roast pork. Thankfully, I have enough food so I'm not cooking it this year!

My Christmas cake is an American Bourbon Fruit Cake. Glace Cherries, Sultanas (or white raisins), 2 cups of bourbon (or more ) and the usual butter, flour, spices and both white and brown sugar. After it's cooked and cooled, I wrap it in cheesecloth soaked with Bourbon and tin foil. Store in the freezer and slice thinly. It keeps in the freezer for a year. I can PM the recipe if you want it.

My Plum Pudding has way too many ingredients in it...but the family love it so I make one every year. It has raisins, sultanas, currants, lemon and orange rind, apples, carrots, almonds and all the other usual suspects. Again I can PM the recipe.

I also have a minced pie recipe. Didn't have a chance to make the mince this year; but I'm contemplating buying a jar of mince and making the pies anyway.
