Hi! It's a good morning here. I personally didn't feel the earthquake that was centered in Virginia, but there were reports that there were tremors here. Belle is happy to be home, and her stay in the kennel was a success!

I've been great, I think. Had two days at work and will have tomorrow to myself. Glad that Belle was happy to be home and that her stay was successful. She's obviously settled now.

I spent most of the day doing simple things, and listening to a book on CD. "The Help" is about life in the southern US during the early 1960s. There's now a movie based on the book and I am enjoying the book.

I was in high school in the early 1960s, it was a hard time in the US to watch the news. The book seems very real to me, I can "see" it happening.

Equality is something that is a constant tug-of-war. It is hard to get true equality constantly.

Yes, it's an ideal, something to strive for and I suppose misunderstood because there's the idea that everything must be the same to be equal. I've spent a good part of the day listening to the book.
