Change Of Value Season??

I just got off the phone with a disney agent because I was planning a trip for this July. I thought the value season for the Deluxe resorts started July 5. Apparently there wll be no FL resident discounts on mod resorts or value resorts unitl lat aug and all the seasons are at regular season ot value for the summer!?

The value season is never during the summer months at any of the resorts....check disneyworld.com for information on rates and seasons.

July was always regular season as far as I know. Be happy you are going this July. We are going next July and it is no longer regular season but "summer" which translates to more $$$ for WDW. Oh well, what can you do?

According to Mousesavers, July 5 is the start of value season for deluxe resorts. Perhaps the CM was confused (although I have NEVER known that to happen ).

I checked on Disney.com and they have value season for Deluxes startin on July 5???

Deluxes have always started their value season just after the 4th of July, as far back as I can remember. Maybe it's not as well know as I thought? We stayed at the BC in July 2004 and I definitely know that it was value season then.

Just call again....sometimes there are CMs that are aware of some things other CMs aren't....

I had to change our ressies from end of June to end of July. We got a refund since the rates changed from regular to value - so they definitely change in July.

We visited WDW at the end of July last year...and it was definitely value season at WL. I'm not sure about the rates for our one night at Pop, but dh and I did have quite a lengthy coversation with the CM at check-in there. She told us that mid-July through August was always very slow for them. Indeed, the resort seemed pretty empty; but, again, we were only there for one evening.
