Change of strategy for the Fantasyland first crowd

OK, so with the new MK rope drop slow walking 90% of the crowd to A&E and SDMT, I think it may be time for a change in strategy.

Might it be time to hit Frontierland/Adventureland or Tommorrowland/Barnstomer/Dumbo first thing with nonexistent crowds, then to do central Fantasyland with FP+ for SDMT, A&E, PPF, and/or ETwB late morning to early afternoon.

Break for lunch then extra FP+ 4,5,6, etc... for rest of the day.

Sure, you would be forgoing the extra rope drop standby SDMT, but you would also be more effectively avoiding crowds, and if lucky enough to have a little one could child swap SDMT for a repeat ride anyway.

Thoughts?

This is our plan next week :ssst:
On our first day, we'll hit Adventureland & Frontierland with FP+ starting at around 10:30. I had already scheduled a Fantasyland morning (before I saw the easywdw video) and almost panicked. Tried to change our SDMT, but no other times available. So I guess we'll move with the crowds & try to get to Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh & maybe Ariel before our FP+ start.

Seems like the best strategy right now.

I think that plan seems great too. PPF should be walk on at RD, and Ariel and Pooh walk on for first 30 min. We may still do this, hit Dumbo and Barnstormer and double back to SDMT and A&E for late AM FP+.

Too bad MDE app won't provide same day info on FP+ availability (available vs limited) to help us plan our afternoons.

Yes, we are not holding out much hope beyond the possible 4th or 5th FP+, and anticipate that those would be for less popular/higher capacity attractions. Saving POTC, HM, Buzz Lightyear, IASW and possibly Philharmagic as our second tier. We did FastPass Barnstormer and plan on riding Dumbo standby since it's not in a traditional queue and the kids can play while they wait. I guess we'll see if the plan works to our advantage or not very soon! ;)
