Change of plans

Ok so with the new dining package we changed our trip dates, I didnt think school would start til the 1st, BUT i now get a letter stating that the first day of school is the 29th of Aug, Do you think missing the first 2 days of school is really important? My logic says nah their smart kids 2 days wont hurt them, but then I thinkm well the first two days are important. My friends and family say who cares your saving LOTS of money with that plan go for it,

I guess it depends on what grades they are in. Even so usually kids dont do much on the first dayof school anyway. I though would not want to miss the first days. That is when you meet your new teachers and so on. You couldnt move the trip back two days?? If that is the only option I still say go for it. I am all for saving money.
