Can you buy undies (for a little boy) along with shorts in each park? Not that I am planning on something happening.... but .... just in case.... can you really buy underware and shorts at the parks?

Which store?

Sorry, I am not sure if they sell underwear, but if you think your child might need it, wouldn't it be easier to just throw a pair in your bag just in case? Even if they do sell underwear in a particular store, you could be on the other side of the park when you need it-so it would probably be better to have it with you, kwim? Unless I am missing something.
:)

Yes, I think some of the stores do have kids underware (generally I've seen a 2T-3T size, then 4T, and so on)- you normally have to buy a 3 or 5 pair pack, and I think the price is high - something like $15 for the pack. Shorts are also sold - but again, price may be $25+. So, I would just plan to have something that folds small and put in a little ziplock and throw in your bag. Much better than being out $40.

Of course I would carry a spare set. My question was more for ... what would happen if he messed up that pair too.... whether it was a potty accident or a ride or sitting in mud or whatever... I just wanted to have a back up option to my back up

Got it. In that case, in MK along Main Street, there is a long store than ends up at Caseys (where you can buy hot dogs). Inside that store, about the middle, is all the little kid clothes where you could find underware, shorts, etc. In Epcot, Mousegears is your best bet- they also have a section with the little kid clothes. In DHS, when you walk down the main street, and then turn down the street to the right (across from the candy store) there is a toy store/kids store on that corner. You could find the underware/shorts there. In Animal Kindgom, I can't quite remember where the store is, but I think it's across the street from Flame Tree BBQ.

I'm sure there are more stores with the stuff, but this at least gives you an idea of where I know they have the little kid clothing sections.

Yes, you can for little kids, usually at the "main" store in each park, such as the Emporium in MK and Mousegears at Epcot. It is pricey, though.

We go often, and one thing I've learned is that encounters with the wet rides create prime chafing conditions if your shorts and underwear do not dry quickly. As a result, DS and DH tend to wear quick-drying swim trunks to the parks on most days. When DS was little and messed himself up, I just took the dirty pr. and washed it out with a detergent packet, then hung it on the stroller handle for 30 minutes or so. Dry spare shorts again. I'm now buying swim shorts for DD2 as well.

I even went out and bought myself some ripstop shorts; that with athletic quick-dry undies is the best choice for comfort.

Same goes for shoes. Immersible athletic sandals are far superior to conventional sneakers.

Perfect! Thanks! :lovestruc

Oh. Well you said you didn't expect anything to happen, so I didn't think you meant you would need more than one backup!:confused3 In that case I would throw two extras in rather than pay $40 like another poster said.

Have a great trip!

I meant that I didn't expect anything UNUSAL to happen, like having my bag stolen (with extra's in there) or have my kid sit in mud or get a soda spilled on him or what have you.... I should have been more clear.

My thought was, someday no matter how hard I plan there may be a need for me to buy undies..... then I thought... can I do that? and if I could where would I go?

I just didn't clarify..... sorry. ;)

When we travel I try to purchase a few pair of really cheap, thin light weight shorts that I stash in my bag. DGS (3) almost never has an "accident", but you just never know what they might get into. I also take a few pairs of his older underwear. I travel VERY light so these must be small and light weight!

I put an extra set of clothes in a zip lock bag, it took almost no room. If you are nervous that your child may have more than one accident I would toss two sets in. I would not want to spend the money on undies when there are so many more things to use Disney spending on.

As a mom of four, I could have kicked myself for not bringing our spare set of clothing for my youngest ds during our last trip. I left it in our room on our AK day...and, of course, ds had an accident. I was actually shocked that I was able to find a pair of pants and Mickey underwear in the gift shop right outside the entrance to AK. Those are his favorite pants and underwear still:goodvibes, which I'm thrilled about, since I never pay that price for those items!!

In general, I just throw a cheap pair of pants/shorts and underwear in a zippie bag, and keep that in our stroller bag.

While it's always nice to be prepared, I understand where you're coming from OP. There are definitely those "you never know" moments. I can report that DS has WDW undies. DGM bought them for him because she loves to spend money. :lmao: He also has WDW PJs, socks, etc. ;) I've seen them in all of the "anchor" stores (the BIG gift shops at each of the parks like the Emporium, Mouse Gears, etc.).

We don't carry extra clothes anymore aside from the occasional costume, but there are options if you're caught without unmentionables, shorts, socks, shoes, hats, sundresses... :)

Thank you! It is nice to be truly heard!

I would just bring extra clothes. We needed to buy pants for my daughter and ended up paying $26 for sweatpants!!!! Next time, I'll bring clothes for them. just in case.

I agree, just take the extra clothes. Paying for the day use of a locker would be worth the investmant. My nephew is 5 and I still take 2 changes of clothes plus an outfit for tempture change regardless of season. He is a puker and there have been times where he has worn all of the clothes I packed minus one pair of extra socks. I have already packed an outfit in his carry-on and one in mine just for the air travel for our upcoming trip.

OP is bringing extra clothes. :laundy: She just wanted to make sure there is an option in case, by some crazy circumstance, she'd have to buy something.
