So we have all of our October ADR's booked for our party of 7, and today mom drops the bombshell that my sister's boyfriend may be coming along. While that's all well and good, will this mess up my carefully orchestrated dining plans? If so, I swear the guy can eat hot dogs on the curb for all I care! J/K but it seems none of my family have any idea how hard I plan everything and how tough it was to get the ressies I got (good ones too!).

Essentially, if we become a party of 8, will I need to rebook?? I thought I'd read somewhere that all of the tables are geared for even numbers of people, so theoretically, I party of 7 would be seated at a table for 8 anyway, right?

I just had to do this for next month! My son decided to bring another friend! I like you could not care less if all he got was hot dogs.... but..... I called disney and much to my surprise they were able to add him to most ( not all ) of the reservations. The few they couldn't either my husband or I will take the kids to. The key is you can't do this online. You have to call.

I have a similar problem, I went from 5 to 6. I went on-line and rebooked all the ones I could, where I could get a similiar time. The ones I couldn't change, I am keeping and hoping for the best.

Good Luck!

I just read the post above me - I tried calling and was told "tough" but nothing they could do. So I guess it depends on who you get.

Family members are funny, fickle creatures. My family loves to torment me about the time I spend planning a Disney trip, but when I started working on my doctorate and didn't take the time to plan a trip a couple of years ago, they quickly realized how critical my planning is to everyone's happiness.;)

This happened to us last year, but only for the The Crystal Palace. I called Disney the morning of our ADR, when I realized we would have unexpected company for dinner, and they were very kind, said to just show up at the restaurant and we would be accommodated. And we were. That said, this year I decided to bring one more kid with us in August so I have changed all of our ADRs to accommodate our new party size of 8... I figure better safe than sorry...

Good luck, whatever you decide! A turkey leg for sister's boyfriend to gnaw on should tide him over quite nicely. :goodvibes

I had to change all my ADR's just to add a 4 yr old on. Ended up having to change all but 1 to a completely different location but it all worked out after over 1 1/2 hours on the phone with a CM. I had the fantasmic Dinner Show booked and they couldnt add on 1 more to my existing so I just booked another one for a party of 2 only 5 minutes apart. We just might have to sit apart but with 14 who is going to care!!!

I am going through this right now since my brother just decided to come on our trip in August. I was able to change 3 of our 6 ADR's from a party of 6 to a party of 7. For the other 3, I am just going to show up and ask nicely. :rolleyes1
