Change in park hours for next weekend! And change to early entry

I just now noticed the change in park hours for next weekend with both US and IOA stating open until 8 pm. What really shocks me is they changed early park admission to IOA for what, I think, is the first time since Hagrid's opened? Any speculation on how that will work with virtual ques that they usually do on Saturdays? I wonder if they'll do virtual que during early entry?

I'm a little sad that they must be expecting to be busy, but I'm glad now that I'm staying at hard rock and have express pass my whole trip. We arrive Thursday and are staying until Sunday. I wonder what time I need to arrive at the gate for early entry on saturday, any guesses? Are they doing a pass holder line during early entry?

I'm amused that they list gringotts as open during early entry at IOA, I would imagine that is supposed to say forbidden journey.

This may have to do with the rumor of them opening up two or so haunted houses that were already built for HHN before they decided to not do the event for day guests.

That is weird! It's the same for us in late October. And US opens at 9am, while early entry at IOA is also 9am. Not used to that being the case.

If anyone goes during the next couple of weeks, please report back to us if a) Hagrid's uses a virtual queue during early opening hours, and b) what US crowds are like, particularly in Diagon Alley, without the hour of hotel guests only in the morning? Thanks!
